? about NYS Income Tax refund

Did your state refund take longer than your federal one? I got my federal refund quickly but haven't gotten the state one yet. Just wondering if this was normal.

I got my state return VERY quickly (and I even mailed it). Much faster than the federal return. But Virginia has always been very quick.

Yes, my state return took much longer to be deposited in my account.....about 3 weeks longer.

Depends on the State. I got my NJ refund in 10 days and my federal refund in 14 days, both direct deposit.

It's still a state-by-state thing. Each state processes returns at a different speed, so one state's refunds might be weeks before others.

Good ol' NY takes forever!! Don't hold your breath! I think last year it arrived in early June.

This is the first year in ages that I am getting some money back from NY (thank you tuition credits!) I do know that my federal return will be mailed on Friday according to the website, but the states site still says my return has arrived and is being processed.
