?? about not having a reservation

I'm going to be in Jacksonville the first two weeks of March for work and was thinking about going to Disney if I can get time on the weekend. Since I won't know if I'll have time until I'm in Jacksonville I didn't want to reserve anything yet. If I went I would also want to stay on site.

My question is: would I be able to get a room/park ticket at one of the resorts by just walking up to the front desk? I haven't been to WDW in years so I am not sure if that is possible or if I have to go about another way in order to get a room or tix? Will I be out of luck with rides because of fast pass +? Thanks in advance, any help would be fantastic.

I would call the hotel before you leave Jacksonville. It can crowded then, since Spring Break officially starts about the 2nd week in March or so...the hotels do get crowded, you don't want to be wandering from one to another. The hotel reservations are a central number, so they can help you with that.

You would get a default magic band when you check in, and you can book FP+ on your MDE account (you can set it up ahead of time and just not enter anything). You should be able to find something to ride, although times for some headliners might be spotty - be flexible. Rope drop the next morning for your favorites would be your best bet, before the crowds start to build. Use the MDE app to check wait times throughout the park you are at as well, and you might be lucky enough to catch some shorter lines even as the day goes on.

If I were you, I'd wait til I saw what was happening in Jax, and the night before I wanted to arrive at Disney, I'd get on the horn to the central reservation number and book it. That will save you a LOT of driving around if your first resort is booked out and make your arrival much more pleasant.
