I read somewhere on here that you can buy Disney potato head and parts? Can anyone tell me where? I thought they might make cute souvenirs.

Thanks, Wendy

Yes, At Downtown Disney there is a toy store where they have a huge selection of Mr. Potato head parts. I can't remember the name of the store right now but I'm sure someone else here does. hth!

edit to add: I found the information for you. It's • Once Upon a Toy Store - This store is for the child and the child at heart. The exterior appears to be constructed out of Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys. As you enter there's a make your own Mr. Potato Head display. For, one price you can load a box with parts that have a unique Disney spin to them. Mickey ears, a autograph book and Princess hat are just a few of the pieces that you can choose. There's also a make your own My Little Pony where you can fill a box with all sorts of accessories.

Every Disney themed toy imagineable is featured at Once Upon a Toy Store. There are incredible displays including the Monorail system in miniature. NEW All of Disney's DVDs currently available for sale can be found here. In additon to an extensive display, there's a binder that contains the full listing of 300+ titles. Info about DTD, Marketplace

It is the toy store in DTD but when we were at POP last February they also had a Mr. Potato Head station there in the gift shop.

My Dad bought a potato head with a huge box of pieces for DS when he was done at WDW for a conference and when we went ourselves we bought another big box of extra pieces for DS to play with. It is fun to put Mickey ears on your potato! :)

There are stores throughout the different parks that have them and not all had the same parts when we were there. The price was per box, no matter what body, parts, etc. that were put inside. So pack the box creatively to maximize your purchase. Make sure if buying a body to stuff it with parts before placing it in the box and pack everything around it. You do have to make sure that the box closes.

There's a store under the big "tent" in toontown (MK) with a huge mr. potato head display and you build him yourself.

that was back in april 2004 so i'm guessing it still exists!

The once upon a Toy Store in DTD has exclusive parts. I don't know if that sounds right. Many stores carry the parts, but the DTD gets them first for 30 days before they move to other stores, and keep them longer (provided they don't sell out). At least that is what the CM told us last Sept. Also, don't waste space on a body; all bodies are the same. Buy a cheap body at walmart if you don't have one (you can always bring it with you to the hotel to play with later). You'll get more parts in the box that way.

We did this at DTD in Feb
and a CM helped us --
He got 42 parts plus the Head in the box!!!!!
I swear it was a record
when we did it ourselves we had about 22!!!!!
We are going back next month and I have kept his picture on our digital camera so I can find him so he can do it again!!!! ;)

:earsgirl: I have got to check that out on my trip!!!

I have already requested a Darth Tater for my birthday (Its just the cutest thing you ever saw! :earseek: ) The funny thing is, I'll probably get 10 because that's the only thing I've told anyone I wanted! :rotfl2:

Where can I find a darth tater? Do they have these at WDW?
We were at our local Virgin Megastore today and they had Darth Tater - it is the cutest thing you've ever seen!! I think DH wants one now . . .

Make sure you buy TWO sets of arms ... if you lose an arm your tater won't be able to hold his Disney accessories.

What I did was to bring a couple of our PH heads from home, then I was able to stuff the box full of parts.

If you don't have a head, Wal*Mart and Target sell a basic one for about $5.00.

Also look at garage sales. You can usually get them for about a dollar.
