 We went this year from June 4-11 and LOVED it....but what I'm wondering is, how does it compare to, say, June 9-19, which is when we are planning for 2 years from now. Are the crowds comparable, or much, much worse?

Once you get past the first two weeks in June, the parks get much more crowded. They're not exactly 'light' in early June, but they'll be busier by mid-month.

I'd be curious to know what you LOVED about the first week of June. My trip keeps flopping from POR in March, to the Poly in June.

It's been years since I was there the first week of June and I honestly can't remember what the crowds were like. I guess that's a good thing!

What was your maximum wait in lines and what was the weather like?

We had gone previously in Sept for our honeymoon, and while we loved that everything was walk on, I'm one of those FREAKS who loves to be around alot of people...to me it just made the experience more real. Also, we preferred that the parks were open later in June. We just felt less rushed, if you KWIM. We found that the wait times were very tolerable, and we took advantage of Fast Passes whenever we could.

DH had been many many times before as a child, and he said this was his favorite by far...even more so than our honeymoon. Of course, it probably had A LOT to do with the fact that we had my 5 yo DS with us, and he was completely taken in by the magic! It's still all he talks about!

Because of school schedules, we always end up going in mid-June or even late June and there are crowds. You really feel it on the buses - although we live in an area that doesn't have efficient public transportaton so these are the only buses my kids ever ride and our whole family loves riding standing up and talking to total strangers.

I strongly suggest that you have a good touring plan, with good information about daily crowds - it will make all the difference in the world. We never waited more than 20 minutes for anything on our last trip. We like the information in the Birnbaum guide but not the touring tips. The DK book has great pictures but the touring information is absolutely horrible! We have used the Unofficial Guide, www.tourguidemike.com, and www.buildabettermousetrip.com - and they are all good.

We made most of our sit-down dining reservations in advance but on our Epcot day, we decided to just take our chances. We brought our cell phones and once we started getting hungry, called 407-WDW-DINE and asked what seating they had available. It was kind of fun - we had lunch at the Le Cellier (spelling?) in the Canada pavilion. We were feeling adventurous and would've tried just about anything.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the positive post about June! :) Just posted on another thread that we will have be new June visitors. I am gobbling up all the info I can about June in WDW. My DS started elementary school this year. So we will go as soon as school ends for the summer(estimated travel week 6/7- 6/16) So anyone with more positive notes about June please join in :woohoo: :wizard:

We were just there June 3 - 18, and didn't really notice a big difference in the crowds in the two weeks. As the previous poster said - you have to go with a plan (albeit a flexible plan); and we like to get up early, go back for a mid-day break, and then go back to the parks at night. We used fast passes a lot! I had at least one ADR a day! We had a great time!!!!!

In the last few years, we've been just about all the weeks in June, the first two weeks of July, and the first week of August. The week around July 4th was crowded; but very do-able and we still saw everything we wanted and had a great time!!

I am considering getting an AP next year, so we'd go in late July, then our Christmas trip, and be able to back in June the following year!! That's my plan - just not sure if its DH's plan too....

So basically, if we didn't have a problem before, we shouldn't (technically) have too much of a problem this next trip?

We did have a flexible touring plan last time...Passporter, I love you!...and I did find that it helped A LOT! We didn't always follow it, just used it as a guideline, really, but it worked out really well for us! :cool1:
