I like strong coffee (think Starbucks) and don't drink the coffee in our office because I just don't like it. They just use a regular ol' coffee pot with whatever coffee is on sale. At home, I grind our starbucks beans and usually take that with me in the morning in a to-go cup. I was thinking I'd like to have my own coffee maker in my office, but have never had a Keurig so don't know what the coffee tastes like. I'm assuming there's different flavors? You only brew one cup at a time, is that correct? Any suggestions? Are they expensive?

...I love my Keurig coffee maker because I can make just ONE cup of the coffeee that I wanna make...I love flavored coffees but my DH doesn't - he makes his own in our 'regular' coffee maker and I make mine (usually blueberry!)....Starbucks sells K-cups for the Keurig coffee maker, if you really like Starbucks coffee. I don't know how much it costs, though...

I love my kuerig. Also you can make it strong by using less water as well. I bought one for my mom just for that reason. Her BF loves his coffe strong think motor oil. She likes it "normal" so since I bought the Kuerig for them they no longer have to make two pots of coffe in the morning.

I like the cafe mocha and hot chocolate. I also have Kahlua and mudslide ones.

I think I would like having the variety. Are there other brands besides Keurig or is that the best?

Since you say you like stong coffee, I'd suggest test driving a friend's Keurig if you can. I do not find the coffee to be stong at all. I have tried a lot of different kinds and none approach what I can make in a traditional coffee maker or french press.

You should get one! if you like strong coffee, try the Gloria Jeans brand and also the Tullys. You can also control how strong the coffee is by making a smaller sized cup.

You need one!

I didnt know starbucks made kcups? Havent tried those. But most websites let you mix & match so you can get 5 of each kind to try out teh kcups til you find what you like. We do also have a k cup swap on the budget board if you find you dont like what you bought.

I have a Kuerig and I use a reusable kcup filter so that I can buy and grind my own coffee. It is also cheaper than buying kcups themselves. The only complaint I have is sometimes it doesn't fill the cup up, but I just tried descaling it, so hopefully that will help.

I've had a Keurig for a couple of years (I'm on my 3rd - but Keurig sent me this last one for free).

But when my last Keurig broke, I went and bought a Tassimo, because I got hooked on Starbucks during a great wolf lodge trip last month. I really like my Tassimo, because it makes frothy milk if you want. Lots of flavors to choose from, etc. I do also love my Keurig and have them side by side now on my counter.

We just got some Keurig machines at our workplace, and I've been playing around with them.

I like Starbucks bold and extra bold coffees and generally strong coffee, too. I haven't seen anywhere selling Starbucks K-cups ... Tassimo, yes, but K-cups, no....

I've gotten my most satisfying results from choosing only the "dark roast" K-cups and making them at the 8oz size. The "medium" and "light" roast K-cups seem too weak to me, and making even the dark roast at 10oz seems weak, too....

They also make some tasty flavored coffees where the flavoring seems to make up for the generally weak coffee taste. Some of the flavored dark roasts are really good! :)
