I just got finished scrapbooking all of the World Showcases at Epcot. Well at least I am done them except for the journaling part. I was wondering if you guys journal about what you saw and felt at the different showcases or if you journaled about the place itself. I am not sure how I want to journal them. Any ideas would be welcome.

I haven't done my Epcot pages yet, but I tend to do more journalling about us - our thoughts, feelings, anecdotes of cute things someone said or did. That's what I've planned to do with the Epcot pages as well.

If you have things you want to say about the place, or facts about the country that you want to include why not try some hidden journaling? Put your thoughts/feelings out where you can see them and then put some interesting facts under a photo? Or if you have a 2 pg LO on a country, put the "place" journaling on one page & put the "us" journaling on the other page.

Thanks Piratesmate for your input. I would love to have 2 page LO's and put one on each page but my book got so big and I have to limit them to 1 page LO's. Next year I am making a book for each park so that I can scrap everything.

You're welcome. :) You'll find I have an opinion on most things. :rotfl:

Seriously, I was thinking about this on the way to church. I've seen people do LOs with informational journaling, and while I really like the end result of their stuff I've never been much for "the facts ma'am, just the facts." LOL

I used to love to listen to my grandparents, great-aunts/uncles, etc tell stories about their youth & about us when we were small. I think that's why I usually put that type of journal entries into my LOs. For me, my books are all about the memories. I want to be able to smile & re-live as much of the experience as I can....so the story journal works best for me.

Sorry to ramble - my point is that you should probably decide what function your book serves...and which type of info will mean the most to you in 5 - 10 yrs. I used to think I'd never forget some of the stories from when my kids were little. But now that I'm on the down-side of 50 I often can't remember....or wonder where I was when my parents relate a story. :rotfl: (Of course they often distort things in the telling. ::yes:: It couldn't possibly be me! :rotfl2: )

I kinda did both. first I told about what it was like, then what I remembered most, and anything exciting we did there.

I am glad you asked this question I too have pictures from this last trip not really sure how to tackle this part. Thanks for asking helps me out. Good luck let us know what you came up with.
