We will be bringing 2 golf carts to fw in june. My question is for those who have hauled thier own carts down a long way. We will be traveling from Indiana so we do have a long way to go. Do you have any problems with the tops? Our concern is that the wind will catch them? We know we have to remove the windshields from them as well. Any tips and advice will greatly appreciated. We have never hauled 2 of them this far before!! Thanks!

Please do share, why do you have to remove the windshields ? The reason I ask is because we will be taking ours down for the first time in April, we have never traveled with it before, we have a 3500 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup that we will have it in the back of...it's a long bed truck but the golf cart ended up to be so long we still had to take off the tail gate. Sorry I couldn't answer your question...our biggest problem ended up to be finding the ramps we had to buy to get the thing out of the back of the truck. By the way EZGO has a website if you want to ask over there...I'm afraid to post the website, don't know if it's legal to do that..but you get the jest.

HI, we removed the windshields because they just snap on, and we dont want it flying down the interstate. I dont know if you really have to take them off but we are jsut to be safe.Ours has a backseat which flips to make a utility bed, and we will just lay the windshields in that bed. We will be bringing ours on a trailer, pulled by a conversion van. We will have to put one cart one way, and the other facing the other way---with lots of tie downs!!

I have hauled ours from Atlanta to Ft. Wilderness, and other places, several times in the bed of my F-250 pick-up and the top is above the top of my crew cab. I fold the windshield down (it folds in the middle) but I drive the golf cart into the bed front wheels first. There is no need to remove the top if you have a PVC/rigid top. If you have a rain enclosure you should remove that as it will probably blow off if you don't.

I agree with Minnie's Mate. Rigid top will be fine. As for windshield, I installed a screw through the clips on the frame, and just fold it down. When I get my new cart this week, will also do the same.
