We are considering surprising our almost 8-yo DD and 6-yo DD with a trip to WDW on August 4, 5, 6, and 7. We went last year in mid October and it was more than great as far as crowds were concerned. I know August will be much more busy, but will it be too busy to truly enjoy this? My girls could care less about Epcot (we tried it) and so I am thinking this would be strictly a MK and maybe a water park trip. I do want to enjoy this short time; am I fooling myself to plan this for August? I just don't want this to be a miserable short trip.....

We went the first week in Aug. last year, and are doing it again this year. (Maybe we'll see you there!) The only park that seemed REALLY crowded was MK. Get there early, use FPs as much as you can, and otherwise go with the flow. The other parks didn't seem overly crowded, we got into a lot of thing with no wait at all. If doing a water park, get there when they open, as suggested, because yes, they will fill up. When the lines got too long for us last year, we left at lunchtime to swim back at the resort, then hit a park for the rest of the day.
