My mom is a (new) FL. resident. Can she get discounts for us or just herself? How about if a ressie is in her name and she checks in with us but then leaves a day in to the trip? She just moved to the area and doesn't know the answer, and I certainly don't know. But we'd love to use her discount if we could. and if we can't that's totally fine too. (obviously!)

My general understanding is that she will need a state issued ID card or proof of residence ...

These are accepted :

VALID Florida Drivers License

VALID Florida State issued ID card (MUST have Florida address)

VALID Voters Registration Card with corresponding picture ID

VALID Florida Based Military ID - Florida Military Bases

She can get a discounted park tickets for herself but not for your family.

As for the rooms - who knows. Since the rooms are generally paid at check-in.. I don't see how her leaving partway thru would matter.

You or your spouse could put your credit card down after check-in for room charges.

I don't know if it's really worth it. I want to be on Disney's 'Magical List' for mailings and such and it probably looks good if I've actually ever registered as a guest. good to know for the tix though! Thanks!!!

Your mom can book a room for you but she must be there to check you in. She can book up to three rooms at one time with her FL discounted rate... but must be there to check in the guests...and she must be in one of them.. even if just for one night.. her name has to be associated with the rooms.. she cannot get you any dicounts on tickets..
