would you go last week of Sept '07 or first week of Oct '07? or does it matter with regards to crowds?

We went 9/28-10/03 (right in the middle) in 2005 and LOVED it. Crowds were very light, I thought - we walked on many rides in the morning, including Soaring and Splash Mountain. It was right at the beginning of the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot, so it was nice to walk around and sample different food and drinks. But one thing is that it is still really HOT and muggy that time of year. We would go to the parks in the morning and head back to cool off in the pool during the hottest part of the day. Also, bus service from Wilderness Lodge seemed really slow. Not sure if that was due to it being the value season, but often we had to wait 20 minutes and sometimes longer for a bus. Just some factors to consider...

I went 9/24-9/30 last year and was disappointed with the crowd level. Much more people there than I anticipated. I would wait for October and do the Food and Wine festival in EPCOT.

We went the last week of Sept and although the crowds were good, it was the hight of love bug season! Yuck. They seemed to be attracted to those white benches at the bus stops!

You're time frame is right at the ending of both the peak crowds and hurricane season, I would choose October.

We went from 10/21-10/28 and the weather was great it did dip down to the 40's once @ night but to me that is not cold as we are used to it but during the day it was nice. I think we only had to wear long pants once @ night and once in the day time.

September has lower crowd, lower points; you also have a better chance of attractions being down for rehab. We go annually in September and love it for he crowds. We do sometimes deal with a headliner attraction being down.

Thanks for all the advice. i think we have decided to go Oct. 1st. Hopefully we will beat the Columbus day crowds.

We were at Disney last year Sept 30th thru Oct 4th, crowds were great! The weekends tend to be busier and over at EPCOT is the Food and Wine Festival, which tend to be busy.

We try to go toward the end of September. It can be a little hot but it seems to be a lot less crowded. Hit the parks in the morning. Go to the pool for the afternoon and back to a park in the evening if the the pipsqueek and future pipsqueek allow
