My son is dying to go to TL. I was just wondering if it is OK to wear a t-shirt or coverup over a swimsuit. I wouldn't be caught dead in a swim suit in public! :sad2:

THANKS!!

Everything goes there as far as I've seen. Cover ups are a-okay! I personally think more people should wear them.

Absolutely! Make sure you try the Crushin' Gusher slides! They're so fun, like Space Mountain, only with water! Lots of fun little dips, and not scary at all, IMO. When we were there earlier this month, they weren't shown on the park maps, and I'm not sure everyone realized they were there. ;)

One more thing about the Crushin' Gusher slides. You aren't allowed to wear glasses or goggles of any kind. You're asked to hold them in your hand, which is OK, but I enjoy a ride more without having to worry about it, so you may want to leave your sunglasses at your chair while riding.

To the OP: it's just fine. The two Disney waterparks attract folks with body shapes of all kinds; as 4orm said, the problem is more likely to be not enough coverage that too much.

Thank you guys. I thought I had read that it was not allowed b/c a cover-up might catch on something when going down a slide. :confused3 I guess I'm loosing it! LOL

Sure you can wear a cover up.... just don't wear a thong. I saw some woman wading into the wave pool in one last year and I about choked on my Mai Tai.... not a pretty sight!

On one visit to TL we saw a 50-something couple who spoke German seated next to us. When it was time to leave they just took off their swimsuits and changed into their clothes right there in the middle of the park. Everyone was trying not to look, and it seemed to be a cultural difference, rather than a couple of exhibitionists.

How do you say "the changing rooms are over there in German?".

I always wear a knee length slightly loose spandex cover-up over my swimsuit and swim in it. I have never had a problem swimming or on slides. I'm an average size person and just feel uncomfortable unless I'm covered up!
