? about Disney Visa free 5X7

A last minute question regarding the free 5X7 that I hope someone knows the answer to. Do you have to go to the Meet 'n' Greet in order to receive the free 5X7? I know I read that you can opt to get the free 5X7 from any other picture taken by a photopass photographer and that it didn't have to be one taken at the Meet 'n' Greet, but can you just get the free 5X7 if you didn't have pics taken at the Meet 'n' Greet?

They give you a small paper certificate when you go to the meet and greet that you turn in at the gift shop for your photo. So, yes you do need to go to the Meet. Hope this helps. Have a great trip!!

Thanks Jen for the info! Yes, this answers my question. Now I know we need to make sure we make it over there so we can get that certificate for the free 5X7. We have at least 3 Disney visas in our group so that's at least 3 free 5x7s!

They have started being more strict about only giving one per CC account rather than one per card, though, so if you and your husband have the same account they will not likely give you 2.

Once you get them, you can use them to get any photo taken in DCA - but not in DL. And they don't usually expire for several months, too, so you can collect them and use them another day if you wanted to, but your photos will get deleted at the end of each day.

We actually have 3 different CC acounts (my DH & I, my DD & her DH, and my brother). However, I'm wondering, can we get the pics taken at the Meet 'n' Greet put on a photopass or are these pics separate? I was hoping to be able to get these pics added to our photopass but still opt to get our free 5X7s at the park. Do you know if we'd be able to do this?

Yes, all photos they take in the park are put on photopass now. You just show the photo pass to the photo shop and they will pull up your photos.

But that brings up a good point... all photos from both parks show up on the photo pass now, so I guess you could get away with getting a DL photo with the free 5x7, as long as you redeem it at the photo shop in DCA. Has anyone tried this? If that is the case, the photopass is really working to our advantage!

whenever we have gotten a meet and greet pass for a picture. We have had to use it on that... Then you can also only get the photo at greetings at DCA. As Dl does not have the proper code for redeeming them..

We have tried getting other pictures, but they are strict on this one..
