We love both of these and have reservations for both over Thanksgiving week. We will ask for "Kevin" if we can as our waiter in Mama Melrose. We had him last time and he was great. The cheese cake there is "to die for" as he would put it. My DS15 and DH loved it. They love Italian food and would not want to have a trip without going there. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well as my DS13 who just had pasta and sauce (special request). As for 50's, we don't like to miss going there, either. We love the fried chicken and DH and sons will not take a trip without one of their milkshakes. The say they are the best. The teasing is all in fun. My sons, although older, are shy, too, and they have fun with the teasing as well. My oldest had to pick up the dishes last time we went because he intentionally went against the rules (kept putting his elbows on the table) just to get attention. That is not at all like him. He loved it! Both are great! I think you will have a great time!

We were worried about 50's PT with our DD too (its been several years ago), but it is a lot fun. The focus was on me - elbows off the table kinda stuff - and DD thought it was great seeing ole dad get some good natured abuse. They do know when to ease up and when there are shy little ones at the table. Most of the time the wait staff is funny and has good park touring tips. The chicken is great, but so is the meatloaf.

We also like SciFi for lunch but the dinner is overpriced for the menu. For those kind of prices, you could eat at 'Ohana or Kona. The last couple of times we were there, the wait staff was soooooo slooooooow. I love those old movies though - they used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid!
