What's the expiration date on the cards? I just ordered one today and noticed that it said that the dollars must be used before the expiration date. Do they give you a year or???

If you ordered in January, the expiration date will be Dec. 2006. You can continue to add rewards to that card, but ALL the rewards on there must be used by Dec. 2006. You can get a new card after that.

Just wanted to second waht the last poster said. My rewards card arroved a few days ago and the expiration is 12/06. :D

Can you transfer those rewards to a new card with a later expiration date if you aren't able to use them all by that expiration date? (granted that you do so before they expire)?

I haven't put any of my rewards onto a card yet but I would feel more comfortable knowing if I did, and didn't use all of them in one trip, that I could transfer them to a new card with a later date.

DO NOT transfer rewards to this card if you do not intend to use them all. The rewards are good for 7 years if not tranferred but only a year (or whatever) once transferred. ONLY tranfer what you can use for the current trip.

Hello, I have 137 pts built up on my Disney Visa card. How do I go about using these twards a Disney World vacation in June?. Can you use them for $$ off or your rooms etc?. Thanks for any help :wizard:

To use the rewards you need to request a rewards card (like a giftcertificate), you can transfer any amount that you have to the card (maybe in certain increments). Then you can use the rewards dollars towards any Disney purchase, at any place that accepts credit cards.

I wanted to let you know that if you get to the end of the year and have not used all of the points you have transferred to a rewards card, you can purchase Disney Dollars with the balance. We had to cancel a trip in November 2004 due to a medical emergency and I had transferred all 600 of my points over to a rewards card that expired 12/04. Bank One would not work with us even though it was extenuating circumstances. I spent the entire amount on Disney Dollars because they do not expire. I was determined to find a way not to lose all that money!

So just to clarify.....reward dollars on the card can be used, $1 for $1, in anyplace at Disney that would take regular credit cards? Restaurants? Resorts? Gift Shops?

Thanks for any info!

EXACTLY! You've got it!

Also, at any ticket window for park passes.

Does anyone know what would happen if you used your reward dollars to pay a deposit on your room and then plans changed and you had to cancel? Would they be able to credit the rewards card back the same way they would your credit card?

Thanks! :flower1:

I didn't know one could use the Rewards Card for a deposit. I thought it was only available for use at the resort when paying your bill.

I haven't done it but assumed you could call CRO and give them your rewards card number and expiration date just like a regular credit card. Maybe I'm wrong.

IMO using it for a deposit would be TOO RISKY. Better to pay for the deposit and use the rewards to pay for (part of) the room when you arrive.
