I did a search and found a lot of info about dining rotation on the 7 night but not much on the 4 night so what rotation is there on the 4 night?
When is Pirate Night?
When do you find out your rotation and can you request a certain rotation?
We have a 3 year old and 5 year old so does that affect the rotation?
Thanks, sorry in advance for so many ? the dining thing is just confusing. pirate:

I'll answer what I can given that I was on the Wonder earlier this month.
Since there are four restaurants (Triton's, Animator's Palate and Parrot Cay) and four dinners, you repeat the last restaurant in your rotation. Pirate night pirate: is on the third night (Castaway Cay day), so you will repeat that restaurant the next night with its traditional menu.
We did the Land/Sea package and didn't find out our rotation until we boarded and found the info in our stateroom. Someone else can probably tell you the success rate with requesting a specific rotation. Kids' ages may impact the rotation, but I don't think there is a concrete rule that is used for scheduling.

You will find out your rotation when you check in at the port. I have heard you can request a change, but honestly, I wouldn't worry about trying. We had what I felt was a less than ideal rotation this last cruise, but we had a marvelous time anyway. All of the restaurants are wonderful, and you get to see them all. For me, of all the things I would stress out about (and believe me, I stress a lot) this would be one of the least.

It's just frustrating that you can't find out sooner. If you're going to be able to make a Palo reservation online, how are you supposed to know what night to do it on if you don't want to miss a certain thing. I would like to do it on either the night that the menu is repeated if that ISNT pirate night, otherwise I would skip on Tritons. :confused3

Admiral - I haven't cruised before either, the Oct 23 will be our very first cruise ever, but from what I have read here, the menu is not repeated on any night. You have the Tritons menu, Parrot Cay menu, the Animators Palate menu and the Pirates Night Menu. At this time the Pirates Night menu and party are on the night you go to Castaway Cay, which for the 4 night would be on Tuesday. I have read here also that if you don't want to miss any of the restaurants, you can schedule Palo's either later or earlier than your regular meal seating and stop into the regular restaurant that night for an appetizer or maybe some dessert (hope this is correct info).

99 days till we leave for our 30th Anniversary 4-day Wonder Cruise and a few days at PO-R.

Henlady, you're right, you do not repeat the menu, although you do repeat the restaurant. On Pirate night (which is your second night at the same restaurant) there is a special pirate menu.

Disneyw/kids -- I found out before cruising when our seating was by checking online. At the DCL website (www.disneycruiseline.com) you can check your reservation by registering and providing your birthdate and reservation number. ( Conventional wisdom on these boards will say that due to the ages of your kids you'll be assigned early seating. We were on the Wonder last week with extended family with four kids under 6 and we were assigned early seating. If I had the chance again, I would request later seating. I felt that we were rushed out of the restaurant each night, with barely enough time for dessert and coffee.

Just my 2 cents,

P.S. Disneyw/kids --- you can now register your children online, prior to cruising for the Oceaneers Club/Lab. I suggest you do it, it saved a bunch of time on embarkation day.
