can we add the dining plan after we book our reservation?? like if we are going in feb, can we wait to book the dining plan in jan?

You can add it later, but you might have to add it by the payoff date. Not sure by when, but I know you can definitely add it later.

You can add it to a package booking up to 3 days before check-in (there are reports from some posters who were told 6 days but 3 days has been the standard).

If you add DDP to a package booking within 45 days of check-in you must pay for it in full when you add it.

If you are a DVC member or renting points from a DVC member, you must add DDP to your reservation up to 2 days prior to check-in. No matter when you add it, you will pay for it at check-in.

In the past we paid off our package at the 45 day mark, added the dining plan a couple weeks later when DH got paid again, and upgraded to the deluxe on the pay period after that. For us it was a good way to defray the cost.
