About Ding?

Just wondering a little about Ding with Southwest. I have downloaded the program and I get the fare discounts. Most of these say just one way. Does that mean you can't get roundtrip with these prices and return flight is at full price? Yesterday there was $42- $49 flight from Manchester, NH to Orlando. The price is good! However it said one way. I hear on these boards how people get these great trips round trip......do these round trips come up too?

What about Christmas time? I have a friend wanting to come to Florida and join us. Do they have these rates then?

You need to select the airport you will be returning FROM as one of your select airports. Then you will see the rates for a return one-way flight as well. It is not any more expensive to book two one-way flights and that way if you need to change one leg of your trip you can do so easily. I.E., if each leg of your rip is $49 one-way, you total price is still about $135 round trip. Hope that makes sense!

You just need to put in your departure airport. When you put in your travel destination, for example MCO and dates, and choose round trip,it will show you DING! fares, if available, both ways. Some folks have a number of airports close by, but for the most part, most are near just one.

I got it figured out! These are good prices if I drive an extra 2 hrs! I think it would be worth going this route if 4 of us save $120 a piece. Would be a savings of almost $500....

Are there dings every month?

Actually every day and sometimes more than once per day. Your airport and destination might not always be included though...
