Hi,
Please help.
Traveling with my DD boyfriend family. Brother is Autistic an needs the ride pass.

I told her to call and they told her it’s easier to just do when you arrive????

Is this true?
Thanks

Maybe. Assuming the brother is a minor, a parent and the brother would need to be available to wait for a chat...which might be as quick as 30 minutes but might take as long as a few hours. The chat itself should be relatively quick and easy -- just explain why he needs to avoid waiting in the standard queue (NOT his diagnosis). But depending on the family's daily schedule, it may be hard for them to be available for the chat in advance. In which case they can do it in-person at the first park, either at Guest Relations or a blue umbrella.

We always apply for our DAS pass at guest relations when we arrive at the park. The line is long early in the day but we usually arrive in the late afternoon for our first day in the park and the lines are short then.

When is the trip? If it is less than a week out, or even two weeks out, there's no real advantage to doing it online first. The coveted pre-selections are all gone, and you get offered ones that are either late in the day or for attractions that don't need DAS for access. (IMO)

OP here
This trip is for 12/11-17th

He is an adult ( 23?)

I didn’t know there were “pre-selections”

I domt know how this works… I thought it was…. Like if standby is 60 min wait…. You come back in an hour?
Thanks
Also I booked them their room from my DVC if this makes any difference .
She didn’t have confirmation number , I domt know if they asked…

Yes, that’s essentially how it works on the parks (return time is usually 10 min. shorter than posted standby). The link posted above is good - just the 1st post.

Historically one could only register for DAS in person at the parks. Last year Disney started offering advanced registration 2-30 days prior to the visit. With that you get a sort of bonus to reserve 2 Advanced Selections (sort of like FP+). That isn’t required, though, and they can register in-person. Same in-park benefits regardless of how you register.

If the brother had his own MDE, he. An do the online chat himself. If he has a guardian, that person will need to do it through their MDE (assuming his profile is on a parent’s MDE). But this can’t ge done until they hit that 2-30 day window.
