? about Cinderella's Royal Table

We did CRT for breakfast in october and we had a good time but the food was not that great...We are thinking about doing lunch there for our next trip because our little girl loves cinderella...can i get some opinions please?? thankyou!

We had lunch there last April and we thought it was great, much better than the breakfast. I really liked the Major Domos Pie (although DH thought his fish was overdone.)
We are hoping to do lunch there again this year

We did the CRT lunch last November and my DH, DD (age 5) and DS (age 8) liked what they had, and my crew is very picky. I especially liked the dessert I had which was some sort of chocolate cake with cream on top. It was one of the best desserts ever! I have never been to CRT for breakfast so I have no comparison but lunch was very good!

We enjoyed lunch very much. Major domo is very good. For dessert we asked for the kids sundae because it has a chocolate crown! The whole chocolate buckle thing never appealed to me-I think it is just a chocolate muffin dressed up. Anyway, they gave the girls a small bowl with I think 2 small scoops of ice cream and the adults a much bigger bowl with about 3 scoops but we all got really cool chocolate crowns.
We had a super late ADR at 2:45-ish and it was fine although I was really worried. Princesses were kind and took their time.
I don't think I would bother with breakfast since it is no big deal kind of food for me but lunch was great. Dinner doesn't have the princesses just Cindy downstairs for the formal picture and the Fairy Godmother with the mice at the dinner. So...lunch is perfect!

Another vote for lunch. We really enjoy lunch and thought the food was very tasty.

If your girls love Cinderella, you should visit 1900 Park Fare for dinner. It's Cindy, Prince, Lady Tremaine, and the Step Sisters. There, at least your girls can interact with Cindy as she visits the tables there. At the castle, it's just a photo op.

As for breakfast in the Castle, we've done breakfast twice at 8am and love it. The food is nothing special, my boys just get a kick out of dining in the castle. We love being there at 8am and finishing up right at rope drop in Fantasy Land is opening. Now that's magical! Last trip we were the first in line at Dumbo - completely unplanned!

This trip we're trying dinner. I know the princesses aren't there, but heard it's cute with the fairy godmother and mice.

Wow we ate lunch here and it was terrible , the food was just too fancy for our liking and the server was hard to understand. I was also not impressed with what they gave my 2 year old and 1 year old to eat , since there meal was free they gave them just plain spaghetti noddles with nothing on them granted they did give them a nice sundae at the end . I still had to purchase them other meals in the park afterwards.

I was actually thinking that the breakfast would be better , seeing as how you really can't make breakfast to fancy but after reading your thoughts , I guess it's not very good either .

Personally I think eating in the castle is just for the experience and would never do it again . What about doing 1900 Park Fare for dinner since your DD loves Cinderella ? The food there is great and the price is so much better . Hope this helps and have a great trip

We used to love, love, love lunch at the Castle. They had prime rib on the menu, they actually gave you rolls with the meal, there was a decent choice of appetizers, and the princesses were wonderful.

Now it's a set menu for a set price. The choices for entrees are fair, at best. No prime rib of course. The appetizer is a joke-- a few carrots and a piece of cheese or two for the table. We asked about getting one of their delicious rolls and were told "those are only served at dinner now".

Worst of all -- the place is now run just like an amusement ride. Line 'em up, take a picture, seat 'em, throw food at 'em, run the princesses around in a relay race, clear the room and repeat.

If my niece (age 4) had 30 seconds with some of the princesses I'd be surprised. It was a mad rush.

The hostess told my handicapped parents to "hurry up and sit down". I told her that they are elderly and handicapped and it takes them as long as it takes and to leave us alone.

The waiters used to have time to visit, perhaps share some pin-trading with our boys, etc. Now, it's just a mad rush to get the food out and get it cleaned up, so the next group in line can be run through the maze.

The deterioration in the experience of lunch at the castle is one of the saddest of the many declines in food service and quality, as well as ambience, at WDW over the last five years.

We won't go back (and this after many lunches there).

Not worth the time, the expense or the bother, IMO.

I didn't have lunch there prior to the current set up so I can't opine on whether it's better or worse. I've been to the lunch a couple of times and will be going back again June. I have a daughter in the princess age so for now it's a must. We'll probably take a break for a couple of trips once she's a bit older.

I think the food is fine. I like the Major Domo's Pie as menetioned above. The appetizer was not what is described above when I have eaten there. The last two times it was mortedlla and cheese, chicken with pesto and a BLT salad. Someone posted a more recent appetizer which was different. I don't remember all of the items but one that caught my eye was proscuitto wrapped asparagus.

CRT is expensive for the food. I find it worthwhile because of my daughter's reaction. It does move quickly. In my popinion the character interaction was as good or better than any other character meal we had at WDW.

We've done both CRT and 1900 Park Fare and prefer 1900 Park Fare. The character interaction at 1900 Park Fare was wonderful. DN loved chatting with Cinderella and the Prince!
