? about chocolate glass slipper price

Does anyone know if they will still put the chocolate glass slipper and dog bones on a regular plate and charge $8? I want to surpise my friend, her DH and their kids with these desserts when they attend dinner at 1900 Park Fare. But, from what everyone is posting lately is that the price has gone up to $14 and includes a chocolate plate. That's a little steep for me. My friends are on a very tight budget - they'll only be going to dinner the night they arrive and to MK the next day. I thought I'd give them a little extra magic by surprising them with dessert.

Thats a good question. Id like to know the answer too.
We called to order them about a month ago and we werent given any option...just that the price was $14.00...they had gone up. When we got them, we were given the chocolate plates, something I had never heard of before. The theory in one of the threads going here was that the price increase was because of the plates, however I dont think anyone actually knows for sure and Im not sure if anyone else has even gotten the chocolate plates.

I decided to called Park Fare directly. The cost is $14. I asked if there was an option to have the dessert plated differently so that it wouldn't be as expensive. The girl said that there was no option. So, the price is $14. I'm bummed. That's a little too much $.

We just came back from wdw and ate at 1900 park fare on friday morning. I ordered a slipper and 2 dog bones. they came on a regular plate and were $14 each. Hope this helps.

Hmmm??? I guess that blows the theory of the price increase for the chocolate plate.
