If you are moving from one Disney resort to another but have a rental car, should you...

(A) Pack your luggage into your car when you check out and keep it with you until you check in,

or

(B) Ask Disney to transfer your luggage to the new resort.

I can think of advantages both ways, but maybe someone can see a clear answer.

I would just leave it in the car then you can retrieve it whenever you want. I would carry valuables though.

It's vacation, time to be lazy, I'd let Disney transfer it for me.:teeth:

If you have a car, I'd put it there. Our luggage did not arrive until after 3:00. We were told they transfer luggage (this was from AKL) at 1:00. It was not a problem for us because our new room wasn't ready, but if you can get your room earlier it would be nice to have your luggage right away.

Move your luggage yourself. As someone else said if your room is ready early you will already have your luggage and can get settled in your room. When luggage services moves your luggage they tell you it will be at the new resort at 3:00 PM.

We have always just done it ourselves. It's easier and if you need to you can always give any perishables or that type of thing to the bell person and they will hold it for you until you need it or your room is ready.

We always have Disney transfer ours. We usually check out early, do an early check in and head to the parks. By the time we come back our room is ready(if it wasn't) and the luggage is there.

To me it is easier to have them move it, then pack and repack my car several times a trip.
