? about castaway club

Hi, I am new here. Wanting to take a cruise next year, on the Disney site is says if you have sailed with them before you can get specials thru the cataway club, how does that work?

I went during halloween of '93. What a diffrence in price!! My mom and I took my grandmother, it was the 3 day land/4 day cruise package. I paid half and my mom paid half of the total for all 3 of us. I paid $700 and that inclued airfare.


I have been reading these boards for the past couple days. You guys are great!! I can't stop reading.

First off, welcome aboard. The only current CC club benefits are a free gift in cabin ( currently a nice beach towel and two pins) and an invite to the CC club Reception.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Disney Cruise Line didn't exist in 1993. The Magic's maiden voyage was in 1998.

I belive it was called the Big Red Boat I could be wrong ? I was 16 at the time and only cruise I have taken. I have some pictures of the ship, I will dig them out and check the name.
Lol sorry I just assumed it was the same.

Yes, that was the Premier Cruise Line's Big Red Boat. That was a very nice cruise, also, but nothing in comparison to the DCL ships. The only thing that I do miss from the BRB is the midnight buffet with the HUGE ice sculptures & wonderful food.

The big red boat contracted with Disney to have characters on board. That is it. It is not considered a Disney Cruise for the Castaway Club.... Only the Magic and the Wonder qualify.
