? About calling to get better ADR

We just booked a 3 day trip for two weeks from now. We booked OHana's for our first night and the earliest time for 2 was 8PM. I was wondering if it is worth calling back to see if there are any earlier times open with cancellations? That is a lot of food to have in my tummy so late at night! I know it is a popular restaraunt and we were lucky to get the 8PM this close to the date, but can't help but ask! Thanks!

Can't hurt to ask. Or just show up early for your ADR...

I have gotten better times on almost every ADR that I originally made for our trip next week, including 'Ohana--I went from a 9:00 ADR to a 6:30. And today, I managed to get CRT for lunch! I recommend calling as often as possible. By the way--check the December cancellation thread--you might find just what you need. I had a Dining Specialist comment on it the other day to me--she was amazed that people were coordinating their cancellations/reservations--and then she was amazed that I knew what she was talking about. Good luck!

When we went in October we had an ADR for 7:20 PM. By the time they sat us it was close to 8 PM. If you end up keeping this ADR you will have the added pleasure of seeing both the Electrical Water Pageant and possibly Wishes from your table. It was a delightful surprise for us.

I would, you never know who will be callling to cancel theirs. I am trying to change a couple of our times also, it can't hurt to try!

Definitely keep trying. I've caught cancellations at the last moment at some of the hardest places to book, including CRT!!

They frown on this? That's funny because on my last trip I had a ADR at CP at MK for breakfast...the day before our plans changed and I didn't think we were going to be able to make the time (which was for 10:05). I stopped there and asked if they had any earlier times available or if we could switch to another day. The girl who helped me said just to show up early and it shouldn't be a problem to get us an earlier seating! That was what we did and we got seated over a half hour earlier than our seating!
