DH and I are planning on doing 2 tours on our next trip. We've never done one before. We're doing the Steam Train Tour and Keys to the Kingdom. I know that you can book tours 180 days out (just like ADR's), but do I need to call exactly 180 days out or does the 180+10 rule apply?

I'm not so sure you can book 180 days out. I am past the 180 mark and tried to book the Family Magic Tour and they said it's not in their computers yet. I tried several times so it wasn't just a CM without good information. I don't know what the deal is. :confused3

I believe with tours it is 90 days from your tour date (could be off on that, but I am pretty sure). I wouldn't worry though. If you are booking that far out you should be fine. There are multiple Keys tours daily, so if one is full there is another one leaving 15-30 minutes after that... and the Steam Train Tour will usually fill up prior to the date, but not that far out. Have fun... these are both GREAT tours.

I wouldn't worry about booking, I just booked the KTTK tour for August and got the day and time I wanted.

I have taken 10 different tours and if I recall correctly, mad emany of them out futehr than the 90 day mark. Give a call. 1-407-WDW-TOUR (1-407-939-8687) As said, I would not worry about getting one, they are well attended, but not Illumination cruises nor CRT. Enjoy.

If your use the calculator for dining reservation on wdwinfo it lists everything not just dining and it has tours under 180 days. I also tried the one on allearsnet, but it didn't list tours under 180 or 90 days. It's not that I'm concerned about getting the tours I want I was just hoping to get everything reserved in 1 phone call to wdw-dine and 1 phone call to wdw-tour.

I used to be a tour guide for the Steam Train tour... sadly I didn't know the answer to your question, but I sent an email to the MK tour office coordinator to find out and the reply was 180 days from the tour date that you want.

Thanks for going that extra mile to find an answer to my question. I guess once a CM always a CM.
