? about booking for 2013 in 2012

Ok I hope I can explain my question so that others will understand it. I would like to book my June 2013 trip this year when my window opens. However I will need to borrow points from my 2014 use year in order to be able to get all the nights I need for my stay. Will I be able to book for my June 2013 trip at the 11 month mark since my trip is planned for after my use year starts or will I have to wait until my next use year to be able to use 2014's points? I hope someone understands this!

When you 11 month window opens, as long as your June 2013 trip is AFTER the start of your UY then yes, you will be able to use 2014 points at the time of booking. The points used are those available at the TIME OF YOUR TRIP, not when you are booking. So as long as you are booking a trip that will take place in your 2013 UY, and since you can borrow one year ahead for that specific trip, then yes.

For example, we are booking a trip this November (during our 2012 UY) for next October. Next October will fall in my 2013 UY. I am borrowing 2014 points for this trip.

start by figuring out what UY your stay is in. a june 2013 trip is in your 2013 UY if your UY month is june (june 1, 2013 to may 31, 2014), but it is in your 2012 UY if your UY month is august (aug 1, 2012 to july 31, 2013).

so if you have a june UY and are planning a trip starting june 10, 2013, then you have access to banked 2012 pts + current 2013 pts (doesn't matter when you call to book, they are current based on the dates of stay) + borrowed 2014 pts (if needed).

when you call 11 months in advance on july 10, 2012, you have access to those 3 use years' pts: banked + current + borrowed. use year has nothing to do with when you call to book - that's all based on your home resort.

Thanks for your help. I have a March use year, so it is good to know that I will be able to use my 2014 points when I book in a few months.
