My DH has been hoping to book a trip to Keystone for Jan. 2008. He is at the 11 month mark (when he was told to call). So he calls today and they say they have no points charts for 2008 yet and to call back the "latter" part of the year. What does that mean? He pressed for answers, but was offered nothing more than an "I don't know."

Is this common when trying to book Concierge or II?? We were under the impression that you could put in a "bid" or put on a search list for the places outside of Disney that you want to travel.

Anyone have any experience or advice about Concierge/Keystone booking? Please help!! :confused3

TIA

My understanding is that in order to make a reservation with a Concierge Collection property, DVC has to have already negotiated the points required with that property. Apparently, this has not yet occurred for Keystone. I would keep calling every week or so, because often MS will be able to make reservations for particular properties before the points charts have been posted on the DVC website.

We stayed at Keystone a few years ago, and it was great. One piece of advice, however. If you want to be within walking distance of the lifts, you should reserve a unit in the River Run section. We reserved in the section that required the least number of points, and needed to take a shuttle each day to get to the lifts. It was not bad, and I think that some of the farther out units are larger, but if you don't want to deal with the shuttle, the River Run units might be your best bet.

Good luck, and don't forget to post again once you are successful in making your reservation!
