?? about booking at VB

OK! So I just recently bought in at SSR and was given a Sept. UY. I planned and reserved a vacation in Sept. so I banked my 2006 points.

Now I cannot wait until Sept. I have no patience!

So what do you think the odds are for me to be able to book VB for a few nights in May this late in the game?

If I were able to book would they use my 2006 banked points for my Sept. reservation and let me borrow my 2007 points? or vice versa?

Depending on what type of room, what days of the week, maybe 50/50 chance. Fri & Sat are most likely to be available. Good Luck.

You can borrow some of your 2007 use year points to make the May 2007 VB reservation. The banked points originally from your 2006 use year cannot be used for a vacation that occurs prior to 9/1/2007. Banking and borrowing are final transactions and cannot be "undone".

So if you have to cancel the May 2007 vacation, the borrowed points will have to be used by 8/31/2007 or they are forfeited.

Just got off the phone with MS. Got a studio at VB for Mothers' day WKD then finishing up the week at VWL in a 1 BR. I don't know if I was lucky or what. My oldest will turn three in WDW. She has been begging us to take her back to the beach but I threw in three days at WDW for her B-Day.

Could anyone recommend a restaurant for her b-day (character dining, ETC.)?

May is easy for VB, likely as or more so than Sept. If you have a friend who is an II member, they can likely get you a week for a fraction of what the points are worth to rent them out. I have a 2 BR for May at VB with a value of about $500 for what I gave up including the exchange fee. There is no $95 resort services fee for VB or HH.

If you don't know anyone at all that is an II member, that part makes little difference to you but it might to other readers. I think May is a great time to go hence I'm going then myself. The problem with May for many locations is it's timing with schools and the like. To late for snowbirds, the weather is improving in much of the colder areas, and too early for those that travel summer. I think it's a great time to go to many beach locations including HH and FL as well as HI.
