Hi can you tell me what options there are when bookong a trip? Do you have to come up w/ the entire amount when you book or just a deposit? Have never done this before Thank's
If stay on site and book a package through Disney you have 14 days to put down $200. Then you must have the entire package paid off 45 days before you arrive. Package is room and tickets, for example.
If you book room only (onsite) through Disney you must pay the equivalent of 1 nights stay within 14 days and you can pay it off when you check in.
There are other ways to book...Travel Agent for example. Everyone has their own opinion on Disney vs. Travel Agent.
We personally book directly through Disney. We considered using a TA for our March '08 trip but decided we liked being able to call Disney direct to make any changes...when using a TA Disney will not interact with you until you check in regarding room stuff. Most TA's will let you book your own Dining and Disney doesn't have a problem with that. But if you decide you know what I want bunk beds with a view instead of a standard room you will have to talk to your TA and then they will have to talk to Disney. So for me it was all a CONTROL issue.
By watching the code section of the disboards you will come across the discount codes a TA would be able to get you.
Good luck and have a wonderful trip.
Not to get started with using a TA or directly with Disney, I've done both and no issues either way.
Another option that we use is our Disney Visa Card to book the vacation and get 6 months same as cash. Since we are going the week before Christmas, thought it would be beneficial to delay paying.
Need to have some left over for the Christmas presents.
