Are there any difference between the dedicated 2 bedrooms and a 2 bedroom at the BCV, besides from the fact that they have 2 queen beds?

are they bigger? what about the balconys? any pics! thanks!

If I remember correctly the rooms with 2 queens don't have a balcony.

What about the dedicated 2 bedrooms that do not have the 2 queen size beds?

We are just back from a stay in a 2BR at BCV. We had a dedicated 2BR with 1 queen and a pullout in the 2nd bedroom. Our villa only had 1 balcony (off the living room). If you have a lockoff 2BR (a studio + 1BR) you would have 2 balconies. The studio portion of that 2BR (i.e. the 2nd BR) would have it's own balcony because if it's ever reserved as a studio it would need to have one.

For those who have stayed in BCV 2bdrm which layout (lockoff, dedicated, 2 full beds) was your preference and why? We will be travelling with 8 pp and I will be booking just as soon as my points are in the system. It does surprise me that some villas wouldn't have balconies!

they have balconies - off the 1-bedroom and living room - just not off the second bedroom.

OKW is the same.

Another difference is that in a lock-off you get the extra kitchen facilities and separate temperature control in what becomes the 2nd bedroom.

The 2nd BR in our dedicated 2BR had it's own temp control - the only reason I remember is that my mother commented on being glad to adjust the temp in their room.

We went with 8 pp last summer and prefer the dedicated 2Q Beds in the second bedroom. Family thought the 2 beds were more comfortable vs. having 4 family members sleeping on the 2 couch.

I guess it depends on your group of people. If you're going with another family a lock-off might serve you better as they will have their own little fridge, sink, microwave area (of the studio). Plus they will have a separate entrance from the hallway. You basically have a door connecting a studio and a 1BR that makes it into a 2BR. If it's you and, let's say, your 4 children a dedicated 2BR might make more sense because you'd be in one contained space with one door in to/out of the hall.

We prefer the dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 Q's in the second bedroom (we really need to come up with an acronym for that!). There is more closet space and 2 real beds.

As far as the balconies. All villas will have balconies. So, if it is a lock-off there will be at least two separated balconies. The the size and location of the balconies will vary. If you look at the exterior of the building you will see the differences. Most of the Ded. 2 bdrm w/2Q's do not have a balcony off the second bedroom.

Well, they also have dedicated 2 BR with different layouts. One has the entrance to the 2nd BR in the foyer. The other has the entrance at the back of the living room. With our family, we use the pull out in the living room each night, with a late sleeper in it. So, it is a pain to have the living room door set up, because it is hard to squeeze by that bed when it is in use. With the foyer door layout, it is much easier. So, we would request the foyer layout and usually get it. Not a HUGE deal, but it was better for us.

But last time we asked for the 2nd BR with the couch, it was nice during the day to have the couch and makes the room seem bigger.

You are right PatMcDuck, there are some dedicated 2 bedrooms that have the 2nd bedroom door in the livingroom, but most are in the foyer. I believe there are about 10, 2 on each floor. They are pool view rooms that are where the hallway bends. If you go on http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/ and look at the floor plan you will see were I mean. They are rooms x34 and x54. The second and fourth floor might have a good balcony.

Pat- What floor did you stay on when you had one of these rooms? Was it the third floor with no balcony in the second bedrom? And did you have 2 queens in the second bedroom? I just have a three rooms I have questions about before I can end my quest for all the 2Q rooms. 334 and 354 are two of them.
