Kind of a silly question I guess. I've been reading through the YC/BC threads and everyone seems to love BC CL. I haven't been seeing too much about BC regular rooms. Wondering if they are great, too?

We can't afford CL so we are booked at a BC waterview room (that's all that was available) for the end of June. We are a family of 5 - we have a 2 year old but she needs a day bed or roll away. A pack and play is too uncomfortable for her now (she turns 3 on our trip).

I requested a full balcony - I know I may not get one. I am concerned as our youngest will need to nap/go to bed earlier than anyone else.

I guess I am just asking if anyone really loves the BC rooms (without CL). Did things work out for your size family even if you didn't get a full balcony?

We are used to the WL but outgrew that resort - can you tell I'm a bit worried about switching to the BC?

Thanks so much for any replies!

I've stayed in the YC (BC sister resort) in both CL and non-CL rooms. The rooms are actually the same -- the CL has to do with extra services. When we stayed in BC it was CL and I actually think that some of those rooms are a little smaller since we had a dormer roof and that took away some of the usable space in the room.

I've had some nice rooms, non-CL, with a daybed. I understand the concern for the full balcony (that's why we usually choose YC over BC -- the rooms at YC have full balconies). If you don't get what you requested, you can tell them that you want to move as soon as a room is available (I know this is a lot of work, though).

Hope this helps!

Yes! So great! Club Level just means you have access to a lounge with beverages and snacks, and extra itinerary planning services. We stayed in a garden view room with DD4 back in October and LOVED it. DD especially loved the pool, and we all loved being SO CLOSE to Epcot. BC is wonderful, and we can't wait to get back! DD still talks more about going back to this resort than any of the parks!

I'm pretty sure if you have 5 people, and kids are over age 2, then you should be guaranteed a daybed room.

I stayed in a reg garden view room at BC. It was really nice. It was pretty much on par with an upper level hotel.

Nice beds, comfortable with soft linens. Queen size which is nice and enough room around the beds to move about.

We had a full balcony although I didn't really like our view (we were on 2nd floor so I had a tree in my way) so I'd ask for the 3rd or 4th floor next time.

We had three adults and did not feel like we were on top of each other (we had stayed value before and it was a little bit of close quarters).

We had a daybed and while an adult would be hard pressed to sleep on it a child would fit and the cushions were comfy.

The rooms were very quiet, even though our balconly was right abouve the outdoor eating area we could not hear anything unless we were actually out on the balcony.

We have a great thread with a ton of FAQ's on the first page and tons of people to answer any questions. I'll go get a link.

I think you will really enjoy staying at the BC. It's wonderful being so close to EPCOT and the Boardwalk area, and you kids will LOOOOOVE swimming in SAB and so will you!!

Have fun!

Except for deluxe rooms and suites, the BC rooms are all the same size. The only difference is either the view (waterview, garden view, standard view) or CL and non-CL.

We stayed in waterview rooms at YC and loved them. We've always stayed CL at BC until this year. We are booked in a gv BC room and I'm sure we'll love it just as much (well almost as much!). CL just wasn't in the cards financially this year (unless we get a really good discount).

BC is a fabulous resort no matter what room category you book!

I've been staying at BC for 20 years, and didn't stay CL there until just last year. So I can absolutely say that I love non-CL BC! There are some resorts that I am less likely to book without CL (like BWI, for example) but BC is not among them.

Our request for a full balcony has always been granted, in part because we're willing to wait for a room with one. Last year, we had the choice of getting into a juliet balcony room right away or waiting for a room with a full balcony. It seems that checking in early and expressing your willingness to wait can help!

And funny you mention your transition from WL to BC! We stayed at WL several times in the mid-2000s, and then outgrew it. We were all THRILLED with our switch back to BC. The location, the pool, the easy walk to Epcot, the boat/walk to DHS, the entire Epcot resort area with all its dining and shopping opportunities - just loved coming back to BC!

We are in the exact same situation. Stayed at WL before loved it, but have outgrown it. I have the same concern about the balcony for naps and early bed times. It seems that most people find BC more relaxed than YC which is why we booked there for late August, but I am getting worried that we should have done YC instead. The other factor was the lack of counter service at YC. Having never even seen the Eppcot resorts I am wondering if this is really that big of deal.
Can you tell I am nervous about my choice? :confused3

We've stayed at both BC (many times) and YC (once.) I do like the full balcony guarantee at YC. Also, it seems YC has more rooms with large windows and sliding glass doors than BC, which creates a more open feeling in the room. I think either is a great choice. And if you don't get a full balcony at BC when you check in, you can always ask about waiting for a room with a full balcony or for YC availability.

We don't use CS a ton, but I was at YC with our youngest earlier this month and needed an extra dinner for him (he fell asleep during our San Angel dinner ADR!) It was really easy to stop by BC Marketplace, where they packaged up a kids' meal in a paper bag with handles, and walk to our YC room. I see YC/BC as one big resort now!

Beach Club is hands down my favorite resort on Disney property and I've stayed at every resort except Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Contemporary.

I've only ever been in a regular room and have never found anything about it less than fabulous.

Have a great time!!
