? about AKV rooms

We are leaving in 3 days and DH just asked some great questions about the room. Is there an iron? We are staying in a studio so I know we don't have a washer and dryer but do we still have access to free laundry machines and dryers just like all the other DVC resorts? Wasn't sure because it's only a few floors not a seperate building.

We were in a 1 bdrm at AKV and they did have an iron, so I would assume the studios do too.

I do believe we had an iron in the studio, and I think all of the studios in DVC do.

Several posters have mentioned the free laundry for AKV studio folks. Apparently, it's not exactly obvious, so be sure to ask where it is when checking in.

We just got back (and LOVED IT....CAN"T WAIT TO GO BACK). We stayed in a studio and had an iron. The laundry room was 2 doors down and free. There was no TV remote, though.

According to spiceycat, the DVC laundry room at AKV is on the 5th floor near room number 5408. That would be on the Zebra trail, very close to the lobby. The Zebra trail is the right hand side of the horseshoe.

I was at AKV just two weeks ago and did quite a bit of exploring and I can tell you that without knowing exactly where the laundry room was it would not be easy to find the it. It's small and so tucked away that you could walk right by it and never even notice it.
