about 3 yr old and potty concerns

Ok so our 3yr old is potty trained but she is small .. if they have to be independent in the bathroom skills to use the kids club are the potties short? At home she uses a stool or we lift her, what are the clubs like?? Will the CM help with snaps or buttons ect. Or no help at all? Thanks

The potties in the club are short, kid sized. The CMs aren't supposed to help dress or undress, so she'll need to be pretty independent on that. Elastic waist shorts and dresses are great for kids that age.

They should be completely independent on that. Best to make sure they use the toilet beforehand. The reason for staff not being able to do so, most parents would understand. To much liability behind closed doors.

I was so worried about this with my 3 year old. This was my experience:

He had been out of diapers except for sleeping for almost 11 months when we cruised, but still got a lot of help in the bathroom from me or a family member. My outgoing child had no problem whatsoever using the potty alone, and all of my concerns were unfounded. The bathrooms in the kids' clubs are manageable in size for children and he was able to get on the potty without help, as well as wash without help. If your child does have problems, the staff will call you on your wave phone and tell you. They do supervise but won't touch your child. The cruise actually spurred him to become more independent at home!

I am there with you, my dd is only 35 inches. However I have seen some stools at the sinks. Would yours be able to push one to the potty if needed? That's what mine would do, but hoping they are really those short little kids potties like in the malls now

Thanks for the replies . Yes she would be able to use a stool and since it's kid friendly potties I think she'll be fine although I will make frequent check in and offer to take her myself. We're excited .. I plan to book soon!!
