? about 1 person checking in on another date and free dining

I am looking into booking a trip but my DH couldn't arrive until day 3 of our trip due to work. I also wanted to get the free dining. Is it ok if I still buy him the same tickets as us? Or does he have to be there at check in? Can he still ride ME? Please help

Here is the scoop....

IF you want your DH to partake in Free Dining, you MUST add him to your package when booking. You will all have to have the same tickets, however, you can purchase the minimum days of tickets you all need and add the extra days to yours and your kids tickets upon arrival. You will have your DH's dining credits to use or you can save them and do some signature dining when he arrives. He can use ME, you just need to call ME directly and give them his flight information.

IF you don't want your DH's extra dining credits, you can book your package without including him....when you arrive at the resort you can let the front desk know that he will be checking in a few days later. You can then arrange ME for him at that time. You will have to purchase his ticket when he arrives and pay OOP for his meals. When he arrives bring him to the front desk and they will give him a KTTW card.

I did this last time we all went as a family, and will probably do it next Sept.

I made the reservation with all of us on it. When I checked in, it was only me, kids were in waiting area, and DH didn't come until day 4 of our 10 day trip. We gladly used his snack credits while he wasn't there. I also made him a separate res with ME. There were no issues at all. I know some people on these boards say the entire party needs to be present at check in- but my last 3 trips (all free dining), only I was present at the check in desk, and no questions were asked.

Next year I will probably do the same. I will book us all 5 day tickets even though some of us (hoping it will just be me!) will need 8 day. I will upgrade whoever needs upgrading to the correct number of days.
