Hi

I am hoping my Wedding can take place on the 17th of August 2007 which is a Friday. When I look at the Disney Wedding site, in the small print it states that Weddings can only be booked Mon-Thur, yet in the wish book it gives options from Mon-Sat :confused3 Does anyone know if I can get married on the Friday? I am calling the Wedding team tomorrow to book so I would like to be prepared.

Thanks

Yes, you can have weddings on Fridays and Saturdays. There are just higher minimums.

It's only going to be my fiance and I and we aren't adding on many enhancements, we are using outside vendors. Would I still be able to get married on a Friday then?

if you are having an intimate, you're pretty much limited to monday to thursdays, they try and keep the weekends open for customs

Is this just for the Wedding Pavillion or all locations for intimates?

Summer-Caitlin,
Just a heads up, if you call tomorrow and don't get to talk to anyone, it is a holiday here in the US. Not sure if they'll be working or not.

The Monday to Thursday limitation is for the Wedding Pavillion. The other Intimate locations are available for weddings on Friday and Saturday. :goodvibes

I am having an intimate on a Friday @ 5:00 at Sea Breeze Point, but we were also given the option for the wedding pavillion as well, and keeping it as an intimate for the intimate price.......

Of course you can have your wedding on a friday and saturday... It will be more than having it on a mon-thurs. but in Disney you can do anything which is a good thing :surfweb:

you can definatly book on the weekends.....but it costs more for almost everything. we found that out and we decided to go for a Thursday instead of a Saturday. DF was kind of upset.....but i don't care. i just want to get married! lol

Hi everyone, just thought i would add my little chapter to this thread. My Bride to be and myself booked up to get married on February 23rd (Friday)2007 at the GF Wedding Pavillion, unfortunately this has gone very wrong. We originally booked the Deluxe Intimate Wedding and told that we could not get married at the Pavillion with that package, so we upgraded to the Premium in order to do this. We booked this in Jan 2006 and only received our Wedding Pack from Virgin last week!!! This stated that we had booked for the 22nd (Thursday) which we hadn't. We specifically did not want this date as it coincided with the Brides dads b'day but when we contacted the TA they told us that Virgin did not mention this and they had just found out themselves and have moved it without confirming this with either of us to the Thursday! To cut a long story short we have been told that we can get married on the 21st (Wed) but in order to be there for a couple of days before we would have to fly out a day early and our party would have to pay for an extra night at their hotels (cheek) - not happy! The current situation is that the brides parents are refusing to pay an extra date which will cost an extra £250 - so we are currently in limbo and don't know what to do. I feel this is a very important thread as the Mon-Thu dates at the Pavillion are not stated in the Virgin brochure. It would be interesting to see if anyone else has come across this. :confused3

i had a horrendous time with virgin weddings dept too. at one point they cancelled my wedding totally, then they cancelled all the stuff that i'd booked direct with disney.

We got married at the Yacht Club Wedding Gazebo on a Saturday afternoon. You should be fine with most sites (not sure about the pavillion).
