ABH Activity Dilemma

Hi folks! Can anyone tell me until what time do they allow you to complete registering your child at Aunty's Beach House for activities? I already did the pre register and have got a reply with 2 activities one being scheduled on our first full day. Now the dilemma. I have booked for a Makahiki buffet at 7am since we are celebrating my 2nd daughter's 1st Bday and with the 3 hour time difference, I figure the family will be up and hungry really early on the first day. Plus, I have scheduled for a rent a car pick up around 9a for us to do a lil driving and picking up groceries.

I know you have to be in line at 7am for ABH to get your kid in. So going back to my original question, can I do it the day before in the afternoon during our arrival?

You can finish the registration process anytime. In fact, I would recommend avoiding the early morning time as Aunty's is very busy at that time. There was a decent wait for registration at 8:00, but we weren't in a hurry, so I came back at 9:30 and there was only one family in front of us. I would aim for the afternoon of your arrival just to get it out of the way. Then the next day you aren't trying to make sure you have enough time to complete registration before the scheduled activity.

You do not have to line up at 7 to get your child into the open play or into their already registered activities. That line is for signing up for lunch, dinner, premium activities, or to be on a wait-list for the activities you are already scheduled.

Also, just a 'warning' if you haven't read already - they put a magic band on the kid and secure it with a zip tie, so the intention is to wear it for their entire stay. My daughter was not thrilled with this at all, so I should have prepped her better. One child in our party was very upset about it one morning so they went to Aunty's and asked for a suggestion and they clipped off the zip tie for her. Keep the receipt for the band and you can return it for a full refund before you leave.

Thank you for the clarification! I'm aware that I have to purchase a gps band for my daughter and will most likely keep it as her souvenir. I wonder though, on return trips, if the band can be reactivated to avoid paying a fee again. Also, with that said, the band last all through out the stay and allow for multiple visits and drop offs?

After you completed the pre-registration online, how long did it take for you to get a response with the time for your activities?

Yes, the band will last all week. It is pretty thick and sturdy (which is why it bugged my DD - she loved the daily pool bands and wouldn't let us cut any of them off for over 3 weeks). They scan it and it brings up your child's info on their computer. You have to present your own room key and give a password to complete drop off/pick up. I would think that as long as they continue using the same system, the band would work on future trips, but I don't know that - definitely worth asking at registration.
