ABD 2010: Disers Go West - Let the Fun Begin

Every page you do is awesome. I love re-living our adventure through your eyes. Your talent is amazing :)

Today's layout, okay, so y'all weren't there. But I wish you had been. This is Tam O'Shanter which is somewhat across the street from the old Disney Studios. Word on the street is everybody from the Studios used to pretty much use the place like a cafeteria and that Walt ate here all the time. The food was SO GOOD! I only wish I remembered what we had. *sigh* I remember we really liked it though. :rotfl:

Great layouts Lauren! I know what you mean about not all of them can be your favorites. I will work my mind into a tizzy about the perfect page and then realize that no one but me is going to care that the ink or fiber is not the right shade or that I don't have just the 'right' embellishment. The memories are what matter. And with that said, I am heading off to my scrapbooking room to begin my own personal Memorial Day scrapbooking marathon! I am *SO* excited!!

Everyone, have a wonderful weekend!

Hey Matthew, nice to "see you"!

I think an ABD meet on board is a great idea. I think several of us are on the podcast cruise!

I think this is a great idea, count me in!

You can say that again!
I have never seen anything so beauitful.
Lauren you my dear are amazing.

Can someone help me out?

Not sure if it's because I'm just a simple Canadian but I'm having issues with the photopass site. I punch in the code, it says they are uploaded but I can't see them anywhere. I know it says it could take up to 24 hours but I did this last week sometime. What am I missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris: Sorry I can't help. I always have trouble with the Photopass site. One thing Disney can't do is computer stuff, which is ironic if you think about it. I hope the issue has resolved. :goodvibes

Y'all weren't with us yet on this part of the trip, but we went to check out the last of the Victorians in LA, which also happens to include the Charmed house. I tried really hard not to be a jerk taking pictures of the house. I didn't touch it or go up close to it or even stand on the sidewalk in front of it -- trying to think of it from the aspect of what if I lived here -- but I sure wanted to! :rotfl: These homes were so beautiful, just thought I would share even though it's not Disney related.

Looks like our thread is "unstuck" now. :( Gotta keep the memories and this thread going. :)

- Bill

I agree Bill. I know it was inevitable, but I don't like being unstuck. :(

Hi ABD friends! Miss you!

:thumbsup2 If I lived in LA, those are the types of houses I'd want to live in. I love Victorian-style homes. I grew up in one in Massachusetts. Bill and I always talk about when he retires, we're moving to Maine and opening up a B&B. :cloud9: Then again, that could change to a B&B on St. Thomas. :rotfl:

:goodvibes Jennifer

Fantastic page, Lauren. I didn't realize that there were still Victorians in L.A. I always dreamed of living in one in San Francisco.

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope to get back to my trip report soon. My mom's surgery went well and I have started to reassemble my life after being gone from home for much of May. I have one more trip in the works, traveling back to Anaheim next week for a big veterinary internal medicine continuing education meeting. I'm going to stay at the Paradise Pier, and have a dinner package reservation for the opening night of WoC. Since I have a view room, I should be able to see the back side of colored water from my room on the press opening night.

Michael and Miguel - we're still hoping to see your pictures!

Phew!!!!! I finally got done with my photopass CD. It has taken two weeks of repetitively logging in after being bumped but I persevered and should have my CD in 5-7 business days. :goodvibes Thanks Dreams Unlimited!!!

The deadline is tomorrow (June 5th) so don't tarry or dilly dally or you will be too late. :rolleyes1

Hooray! I just got my ABD disc, and had the best time having a quick look through all the pictures. Now I'm off to watch the slide show...

Yeah Heather! :thumbsup2

Does anyone remember our puppeteer's name? I'm working on my layout from Jim Henson studios and I can't find his name in any my notes. Thanks!

Since I received the disc in the mail I did not even realize we could go into the site.
Saw your post, went in to try and quickly do some borders etc, and they have expired already...Oh well, at least I have the first disc.

There weren't really any borders just a Backstage Magic logo to put in the right hand bottom corner. I was hoping for cute borders but was disappointed so you really didn't miss much. (When I get mine I will post the pictures I put with the logo on for you.)

(bolded part) So was I.

Looks like I didn't edit my post in time! :lmao:

I just came back in to say that after seeing the VAST array of possibilities for borders, it looks like it won't take me long to edit.
In fact, it took me all of 5 minutes to see what was available, throw both logos onto a pic with a dark lower corner, and voila!. Done.

Glad I have Photoshop, where I will crop out the logos, save them, and then put them in whatever corner I want. :teacher:

If I even bother to do that.

Pathetic....

On a side note, did anyone else notice that there are 847 pictures on the CD that was mailed to us, but only 793 photos on the PhotoPass site?

Hmmmmmmm.....:scratchin

Big hugs Kevin!

Puppeteer's name, anybody, heeellllooo??????

And now it's time for a group picture, or six. :rotfl:
