ABCs of Disney - Altered Rolodex Swap! ALL POSTAL 6/11! Enjoy!

I went back and re-read it.. thus another use of the wet wipes to the computer screen!!! Those poor screen is the cleanest screen around!!!

I was going to comment before you changed it, but I had to pull Gracie away from the repairman. She was trying to kiss him and he couldn't get his work done! This snxx has got her all excited!

MY DH has been leaving the mail on the counter for ME to put in the inbox. hello? Something wrong with your legs?

So I picked all up, junk mail and all and put in the inbox.

I will go through it later as I don't want late bills to be blamed on me.

But I will enjoy my little moment of "so there" for a while longer. :rotfl:

I get the mail at our house.. so dh usually never sees anything... I take care of the bills..and pay them on the Sat. after pay day.. that way I don't have to worry about them being late!!! I have a budget that works to the "T" for us!! I took over the bills when we first got married and DH was late on a bill by accident.. he sent two checks to one company.. and they called to let us know they were mailing our misplaced check back to us.. oh, when..after the due date... so we had to pay a late fee.. :(

I'm sorry you had a not-so-productive morning! ;) I have many a day like that! :teeth:

<snip> So I get the largest ones they have - 2-5/8 x 4. <snip>

That confused me too! I have what I consider to be one of the smaller ones sitting here, but the cards measure 2¼ x 4 :confused3 I used to have a stack of the larger ones from when I worked...but I used them up on recipes I wanted to try before committing to a "good" card. :rotfl2:

It actually brings up a question I have. My current Rolodex uses cards that are a weird shape. The top of the card is a bit curved - not straight across - and the corners are rounded. Of course it's a much smaller curve than any of the corner rounders I have would make. I suddenly realized that the cards from the swap aren't likely to be uniform. For those using bought cards, which shape did you buy? For those making their own (which I'm leaning toward) are they just "square"? Or did you do something to the corners?

I thought maybe she was biting the repairman!!! BTW, check your post!!! :rotfl:

Good question... better get that answer before I go buy this weekend!!!

ok, I actually was just going to post about this! The ones in the link example have the rounded-ish corners...the ones in the refill package that I got are rectangles...and do we even have to use a base card, or can we just make it out of cardstock? And if we do, should we make them a teeny bit taller, so they are more divider-ish? :) (ps--today's cool language trick is to add 'ish' to words to make some new-ish ones.) :rotfl2:

I was wondering about this, too. I figured, that with people buying from different places, that the cards would be different. I plan to use cardstock to keep them in my theme.....if I use the packaged dividers, they will be covered with my own paper. I would have to draw over the packaged dividers, though, to get the right shape.

I thought we could make them out of cardstock... I think if we are using them as dividers they should be a little taller..but that may be what the "letter" is for at the top corners...

I think some talk in a post a few pages back that it was said that the cards would be decorated so you would kind of already know where the dividers were for each letter... some would have ribbons, some would have letters, etc..

I try to add the language trick to my post... soon-ish!

Sure...hmm...I'm not used to mailing directly to you :rolleyes1 ...do I need to mail to Mickeyteacher first and have her mail to you? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Don't worry about the $2...just put it towards the baby album, k? :thumbsup2
Actually you need to mail to Nancy and Mickeyteacher. I need to have someone go though my mail before it gets to the goddess. Someone may try to dethrone me.

Okay, I will adjust the mailing list.. THAT works out very good!!! Much better.. I wasn't thinking about where TPCShauna was.. DUH! Good thing you are watching my back!!!
I always have your back girlfriend!

I so understand what that is all about!!! I wonder how many of our readers are scratching their head and trying to figure that one out!

:confused3 It's a conspiracy, read above! ^

is this just for the rolodex swap? the address cards to put in the rolodex?i'm feeling so left out!
Your not the only one, they are messing with me too. I'm having a perpetual Blonde moment. Ask Nancy!

Postage goes up May 14.

I'm a little confused - my rolodex came wth 500 blank cards - I could use those right? They're the same size as the dividers - 2.25 x 4.

In addition to all the standard info, maybe you could include your avatar somewhere on there. I know I totally associate people with theirs - when Mickster changed hers, I didn't recognize her for a week! ;)

No changing avatar!!!! It's against da rulz!

Uh, yeah.. as long as where ever we meet has hot chocolate.. that stuff you had yesterday is now invading my turf... so in less than 24 hours we have had a possible tornado, thunderstorms, winds and now that i** and the s*** What in the world!!!

No meeting without me!!!! I want to play too. Can we go to Panera???

Teaches you to stray to another section of the DIS now doesn't it!

I have my kids picked up and waiting for the other portion to come home in several hours..

sorry, I'll never wander away again.....:flower3:

HA!! and you thought I wouldn't catch up!!!

Ooo, page 18. She is going to freak. :rotfl:

I think I will just keep mine a little bit bigger. The Rolie Polie Olie title I printed out will look silly on the smaller ones.

Hey, I figured out how to color it in using PhotoShop 5.5. Don't have to do it by hand anymore and it does look nicer printed out on the glossy paper.

Made my R's in the Mickey Head font and will use my brand spankin' newish punch to make the letter tabs.
