I have come up with an idea to have my Kindergarten aged girls (8 all together, with their moms...) make scrapbooks for their time in Daisys. So, being who I am, I couldn't just make it easy:rolleyes1...I would love for them to make an ABC type book...I mean, after all they are in Kindergarten and getting ready to read:scared:...So, I am a little stuck...I know some of the letters don't need to be filled in right now...as we do activities we can fill them in, but I want to make sure that I got some of the obvious ones...

So...this is what I have come up with:confused3...any thoughts or suggestions to add?? Has anyone ever tried this before? I used the pieces of the law and some of the things we've already done... Thanks!

I think it is a great idea Mickster.

It's been so long since I was a girl scout. They didn't even have Daisys then. :sad2:That's how old I am. I don't remember much.
Do they collect badges at that age? Maybe the names of those could fill in some of the spots?

No badges! Just Daisy petals...it wasn't around when I was a kid either...sigh...I am making it up as I go along...to be honest... They need to learn the parts of the GS Law and the Promise...then we go to Brownies...

I think you've got a great list! I really like that you incorporated parts of the Law. DD is in Brownies (her last year *SOB*) - let me think on it and I'll let you know if I come up with anything.

What a great idea!! (I'm a leader too, but my girls are now Seniors . . . )

My DD is a program aide for a Daisy troop -- this would be a wonderful idea for her troop as well -- do you mind if I share it with her???

This is great. I am a junior leader and next year will become a Daisy leader as well. I will have to put this away for an idea. Thank you.

Could you do:

Q- Quietly listening or a Quilt of Friendship and do a quilt type design with pictures of troopmates
Y- Youthful Exuberance or Excitment
Z- Zoo if you can get to one
T- My Troop

Just trying to think of things for the hard letters.

These are great ideas! I'm going to copy them down fo the meeting tonight...

I LOVE the "Zainy" idea -- when my troop does it's annual photo we always have to do a "silly" picture -- sometimes it ends up being the best picture of the year.

I think this is a fantastic idea. I myself was a girl scout every year I was in school, brownie to senior. I still have all of my vests/sashes with my badges. Sorry no help here, just wanted to chime in and say that this is a great idea.

Oh, this is cool! My DD is in her last year of Brownies too, but is planning on bridging to Juniors!
