What is the Cuban Sandwich and Chicken Curry?

I am looking for a CS in MGM that serves more than just burgers and saw this place. Is it decent?

I just posted on another thread about their Cuban sandwich. I love it. Never tried the Chicken Curry, but have had the fish & chips and was happy with that as well. The Tabbouleh Wrap is also a good choice.

Not only is the food good for CS. the restaurant is rarely crowded. It is off the beaten path. We go there often to sit down and relax while eating and never have to worry about crowds..smjj

I love ABC even though it has negative reviews. You cant go wrong with fish n chips. The seating is wonderfuly cool and spacious and surroundings really cool. I havent tried the curry though I will on our trip in September as I love curry. I thik the Cuban sandwich is ike a tasted sandwich with cheese and some sort of meat in it ? please correct me if I am wrong, it has been on the menu for years and just didnt stand out to me.

Didn't like ABC at all. The food seemed "old" - sort of like it had been sitting around for awhile. But you can't take anyone else's word for things - you need to try it yourself. You might enjoy it. :)

WE LOVED ABC COMMISSARY!!!

DH and I both tried the Cuban Sandwich...it is ham, cheese, mustard, and pickles served hot on a hard white french bread. So different and tasty! I had the 1/2 with black bean salsa....mmmmmm!!!! DH had the full with banana chips...the chips were not too good w/o dunking it mayo. Maybe you can ask for an alternative. My bros had the burgers and they hit the spot! Was not crowded and we even spread out in a back corner and put our feet up for a quick break after lunch before we hit the park some more!

We, too, like the ABC Commisary. There is plenty of air-conditioned seating adn the menu veers from the normal burger/caesar salad/turkey wrap fare. DBF and I are both big fans of the Cuban sandwich - highly recommended. :thumbsup2

Also, take a moment to stroll around and look at the different displays - when we were there earlier this year, they had random Lost items out for viewing (scripts, clothing, props, etc.). It was pretty neat to look at.

I really enjoyed the chicken curry when we went at Christmas. It was tasty and plenty big enough to share. Am planning on try the steamed buns at Herbie's drive in in August, looked interesting, and we also look for the unusual CS

Steamed Bun Sample $4.99
--Chicken & Mushroom, Curry Vegetable, Barbecue Pork

Barbecue Pork Steamed Bun $1.99

Curry Vegetable Steamed Bun $1.99

Chicken & Mushroom Steamed Bun $1.99

Can you tell me what is in the Cuban sandwich??

Cuban sandwich = pulled pork + ham + mustard + pickles on nice bread...then grilled like paninis...

Go to ABC Commissary and try some! :thumbsup2

My brother and sister in law love this place. They said it was good food and cheap..

I'm glad I'm not the only one that loves the cuban here. Another this I like about this cs is that they show clips from ABC shows. It's a nice place to relax.

The noodles they have are good also!! A nice change from typical park food.

HOW ABOUT BREAKFAST HERE???

anyone ever eat Breakfast here? We will be at MGM for only 1 morning in October, our last morning and want to use a counter service.

Thanks

For breakfast I would choose Starring Rolls. They have the best breakfast pastry.

the cuban to me is one of Disneys secrets!!! very good for a CS. also get the Chocolate Mousse for dessert. it is prepackaged like a dixi cup but it is very good

We had breakfast here as well, the platter was good, the yougurt parfait was disapointing, the granola was soggy :)

Agree with bobcat about starring rolls, now that it is on DP will go there again for sure!

ABC Commisary is the only counter we simply wouldn't return to.

We got there about 15 minutes before the lunch rush started. We saw a ton of food on the counter and thought Oh boy. We hit it fine. Just done for the rush and we're just a bit early. Perfect. WRONG!!!! It was all stale, including something they called a Cuban Sandwich. It was pathetic. To this day I dream of a little old lady shouting WHERE'S THE CUBAN???? WHERE'S THE CUBAN???? 1/2 hour later when we left and everything was about half eaten it was so bad, the same exact food was still up on the counter just as the crunch hit. I'd hate to see its condition when they got it.
