Abbreviations

As a newbie to the DVC experience, I've spent a lot of time reading the threads on this website. I have to say that I feel alittle silly even writing this but there are a lot of abbreviations and some of them I get, but some of them I'm having a hard time figuring out. If you don't mind, could you shoot some abbreviation explanations to me? I do have the resort one's figured out though.
