I started getting this in my 49th year. Don't ask me how ..but AARP knows who you are(scary )..and EXACTLY how old you are. You can throw that mail in garbage everytime it comes, you can smash it in the can and stand on the lid, you can watch it get compacted in the garbage truck. There's no living in denial...THEY KNOW you're tuning 50, and they'll be another letter from them in tomorrows mail

yep i have been getting them for the last 3 yrs or so. But i just don't think i am old enough for aarp yet. besides they don't get discounts on the Fort. If they did then i would lie about my age and join aarp.

I automatically got AARP when my DH turned 50 and joined.

My DH is always getting mail directed to senior citizens. I'm sure it's because he's a Jr. with the same name as his recently deceased Dad who was a senior citizen. It's still funny everytime he gets something.
