OK....this is ridiculous....I've injured my back some how....I've been sitting here all afternoon with a heating pad...I can barely walk ....I have a ton of jobs (by this I mean work) this weekend to complete....and I can barely walk......BUT...I still haven't gotten off TRUE INDUCTION as I will be refering to my diet the past 3 days.....

Zurg says that now that I have to wear a mouthguard 24/7 to stop me from clenching my teeth (due to stress)....My back is out because the stress just shifted......

Oh Kim! I hope it is not too painful for you!! Sending you some "healing" pixie dust and hope you feel better soon!!

Hope your back feels better. I know what it is like to throw your back out............I wish I could send you my wonderful chiropracter!! She is the best!!!

Rest and take care............

Let's see what we can be "glad" about

1. You have a very valid excuse to put off some of that work just for a wee bit!

2. And an even better excuse for your dear husband to spark up the grill and get going on some tasty induction approved grilled meats!!

3. Let's not forget that marriage is in sickness and health- and so now is a good time to "order", err I mean ask dh to help you out by getting you some more nicely iced water with a splash of lime.

4. Maybe a nice back rub is in order?

5. You have a great crew of pals here at WISH who are sending you good thoughts and hoping for a speedy recovery.

6. Great time to check out a new book- plan your next WDW vacation- or just sit and fall asleep to golf (that's about all that's on on Saturdays! )

Here's to a strong back and no guilt about the work!!

Thanks guys...I did manage a dinner that was within induction...but I cheated with beer....:( but my back is killing me so i talked myself into it...I'd feel better..numb the pain...didn't work.....

OUCH!!! I'm sorry you're having to go through this!!! Get better soon!

Don't use a heatpad as the muscles and nerves will already be inflammed, instead use a well wrapped ice pack or pack of frozen peas as this will bring down the inflammation and help you to heal quicker. it also helps numb the local area, but wrap it well or you can get skin damage from the cold.

Also try and do some gentle stretching as back injuries respond better to gentle exercise than immobility. Don't try and go through the pain barrier, just some simple stretches to loosen up your spine.

Good luck!

Elise....where have you been....I've been heating it for 12 hrs now...I will be switching to ice immediately....I can barely move.....This one is a dosey

Oh, Kim, I am so sorry to hear about your injury! I know you have been under a lot of stress lately, and you have posting some stress related topics. I know when we are under stress we are more injury prone...and look what has happened now! Ugh! Hugs to you ((((HUG)))).

I injured my back on vacation in Disney and could hardly walk. I tried 2 Alieve pills and even though it still was a dull ache it was not really unbearable. I hope you feel better soon.
