AAAH!! Help! CM, WC, CG, orTE?

We have ressies at Chef Mickey and Whispering Canyon. But, after reading reviews have doubts. Do not care about characters. Prefer to not have them, but is okay if food is good. Wondering if Captain's Grille lunch or Trail's End Buffet lunch or supper might be good ideas? Any experience with either of those?

My vote would probably depend on a few clarifications:

1. Who is going to be dining? (kids, adults, etc.)
2. Do you have the dining plan?

I've heard good and bad things about the places you've listed. I would probably make my decision based on convenience to where you're going to be on whichever day you have in question. But my decision might be swayed by your answers to the above.

The party is 2 adults, and 2 children, 10 and 7. Pickyish on the 10 yr. old.
We have Free dining. Convenience is not an issue as we have a car and on both of these reservations we can be whereever.
