I'm so weirded out right now! DD just came downstairs & told me that she saw a mouse on my bed!!! And it wasn't Mickey, either!
:scared1: :scared1:

Not much gets to me, but I don't know if I'll be able to sleep up there tonight. Of course, downstairs isn't much better. :( We've been fighting with them climbing up on the microwave cart for 2 weeks already & 2 nights ago I tried to get into the kitchen and one almost ran into me on his way out!
:earseek:

they've been REALLY bad here too. We've NEVER had a problem before but for the last two months it has been a complete struggle. Supposedly it means we're going to have a really bad winter.

I found a nest with 4 baby mice in my dresser drawer (ironically on a Mickey shirt) and the mama and daddy under my bed at dad's at least a month ago. Since then my sister and I have been sharing a bed at his house and if I go into my room over there it's not for long. He caught all of them, but still...
The mice are really bad this season.

Well, I don't know about that - we always have them every time it gets cold in the fall. (We live on a farm.) As long as we don't get rats....remember the severe cold & ice storms in '92 or '93? That year we had rats sitting on the outside of our windowsills!

What do your wooley bear caterpillars look like this year? We've been seeing them with either only a "spot" of black on either end, or completely brown! They say the longer/wider the brown stripe, the worse the winter will be. Maybe there's something to that mouse thing!

Eeeeeewwww!!!!!

uh-oh! Our caterpillars are all brown this year, we just commented on that last week

And, we live in the city so mice here are not terribly common at the change of season like they are a bit further out in the country. For us to be actually having to worry about them inside is VERY unusual.

Boy oh boy, better get that winter coat to the cleaners!

Maybe it's cuz I've had pet mice...but I'd rather have that than the scorpions and spiders I"m getting... EWWWWW

We had a mouse family about a month ago. I know because my cats were going wild. But either they got killed or went somewhere else because the cats are fine now! At least I never found the corpses like in years past ...

I wish we could have a cat or two in the house this winter! *shudder* Unfortunately, we rent & no cats. :(

Well, I've procrastinated long enough. I'll never get up at 6 if I don't go to bed now. If you wake up in the middle of the night - think of me & hope I'm not chasing mice around! :earseek:

:scared1: Why oh why did I open this thread when I am off to bed in a few minutes? Now I'm goning to have nightmares about mice, scorpions and caterpillars ;) !

OMG where do you all live? I've never... in my life... seen a mouse in a house :p in Alabama.

We had them last winter, but no signs yet this fall (knock on wood!) But it's still early...I keep looking for those little droppings. I've already got the decon out on top of the microwave and in the basement!
Last year they were stealing my dogs "Kibbles and Bits" and storing it in the oven...when I started the oven one night..all smoke! I called the oven guy and he was the one that told me I had company...a mouse, but not the kind ya see in Disney!!!

They are pesty and very clever too!!:earseek: (they make my toes curl!)

Well, I'm in PA about 50 miles outside Philadelphia. Because we're on a farm, there are always more than people see in town. It always takes us at least 2 or 3 rounds of Decon to get rid of them all. This year, nothing has seemed to curtail their activity...although I haven't heard them in the drop ceiling yet.

You know - we didn't have ANY last year! DH went around nailing boards over cracks & filling others with some kind of spray foam that hardened. They must have found another way in. :(

Sorry! :o I should have put a warning in the title. I hope you slept well - w/o nightmares!
