bloomin dh...convinces me to book for florida because he is worried about not being able to get holiday booked (they have introduced a new rule of 3 men off per shift) so that was last week......since then weve been waiting for his HR department to authorise the dates :guilty: :guilty:
im desperate to book now and i cant :confused3

Isn't that just typical Nat ?? I really hope you manage to get it booked this week :thumbsup2

Typical! Although it does seem to be taking HR a long time to authorise the dates

Hope you get it booked soon, I expect a new ticker for you when I get back!

Good luck Nat, I am keeping my fingers crossed that you hear back soon :thumbsup2

Hope you get the go ahead soon!

Sorry Nat, but join the club. DH boss says he's not bothered about DH matching up holidays with his wife and children its not the employers concern. My employers are all booked up next summer DH can't even request his till Xmas and then it takes his boss a month to be bothered to sort it out so no hope for us. Had to have special permission for Oct 2007 holiday, they'd better honour it as its now booked. Good luck, know how you feel. :furious:

Good luck, hope you get to book soon!

We had a similar problem when we went to visit friends in Florida. My friends husband was told he couldn't book time off for our 3 day visit, (any one would think we are always flying over!!) then the week before we arrived he was told even his day off was cancelled
We rearrange our plans best we could, then at 6.15 am they rang to say he could have his day off after all!!!

Hope it gets sorted soon, sometimes the politics of work holidays can get ridiculous (bf has had problems with his work too)

Hope you get to Florida soon. If not, DLP is always an hour or two away. ;)

Our solution to this was to book anyway and stuff work if they didn't like it. After all, they'd rather let my DH on holiday for 2 weeks than fire him...
