Can you call Disney and reserve aroom with the AAA rate? If you don't have AAA yet. I am going to get the membership but wanted to wait til we get closer to going before I purchased it. Do they need my membership # when I make the reservations or do I just need to show the card when I get there.

Thanks
Stacy

I booked with a AAA discount last week for this coming week. I had to have my number. I guess it depends on who you get. The savings wasn't great, but at least it was something.

I like "keddy" did not need to provide my AAA membership number when making my latest reservation. Which is good, since I hadn't joined yet. I wanted to make sure that the AAA room rate paid for the membership...

can disney apply the aaa discount to a "Disney Magic Your Way" Platinum Plan or do I need to call aaa to get the discount? Disney said aaa wouldn't give me a discount on the WL Honeymoon suite and package, does this sound right? It didn't to me, but I'll call aaa tomorrow & ask.

I've gotten room only discounts with Disney (from codes) but this is my 1st year with aaa and have not used the card yet with Disney.

Any suggestions? Thanks ! :rolleyes1

You do need to call AAA to get the discount on a package. I went though an out-of-state AAA agent. She told me that since I live in Michigan and she lives in the Atlantic region, my # wouldn't do her any good. The systems for the states are not connected.

I have had to give my number and not give my number. This past feb, I had to give my number for reservation.
I just booked last week and I didn't have to give it. Although, I am hoping some better rates come out as the aaa rate is the same as the one i got via disney website

The codes seem to be flying around like mosquitos... When I made my reservation for our upcoming trip no discount codes were available and I didn't have a code mailed to me or linked to my account.

Today I called to see if the code in today's paper was better then the AAA rate that I made my reservation with, it wasn't. While I was on the phone, the CM said that a code was linked to my account. While the code letters were different than what was in the paper, the deal was the same.

I usually have to give the membership number when making the reservation. I have NEVER been asked to show the card when checking in, whether I had been asked for the number or not when reserving the room. And this goes for other hotel chains as well. I have never been asked to show the card when checking in.
