AAA with Requests

Just wondering if anyone booked with AAA and specified a particular area? Did you receive your request once there? Just wondering how reliable it is. I'm sure it depends on the agent as well. When I received my room receipt it did not show my request for a particular area. Has anyone else run into this?

Thanks Disers! :disrocks:

I haven't been there yet :rotfl: but I did make requests for a specific longhouse, room location, and room request (side rails for the bed) and all the info was shown on the materials that my AAA TA emailed back to me.

We didn't make a specific room location request but we did make several other requests and they were listed on the paper work that we got from AAA.

I have made a building request at CB with AAA and we got the location.

Picked up my travel documents from AAA today for our Nov trip and all of my requests were noted on the room voucher....they were also noted on the statement I recieved when the package was paid for....if you have made a request that is NOT noted on your statements/voucher I would call the agent and ask them to make sure the request has been placed.

I'm a "control freak" to a certain extent. I prefer to be in control of communications with WDW CMs as much as possible. So, I had my AAA travel agent make the reservations so that I could get the discount along with my dining package. I have separately called Disney myself for everything else (room preferences, dining, questions about account balance even though I will pay directly through AAA agent). It's not that I don't trust the AAA agent, I just have this thing about speaking directly to WDW and making sure that things match up. So far, so good!!!

We received the queen room in POP that we requested and even though we had said not to worry about decade because the king room was more important, they still got us our preferred decade. It was also noted on our reservation by AAA that it was our honeymoon and we got a neat surprise in our room because of it. Great experience booking through AAA here!

I thought all POP rooms were two doubles? Are the queen (and king) rooms new?

Congrats on your marriage!

:)

As far as I know they've always had them. In the groovy pop century thread it shows where they all are. Here's a picture:

:confused3 I have reservations for December at movies and my AAA says I can't request a special building. Is this true or should I call Disney for the request? I booked through AAA.

We've had good success when we have booked AAA rates with requests.
