How do you determine who it is best to book with?

I am planning Jan 28 - Feb 3, POP, 2 adults, 2 kids, dining plan and want to book soon.

I got a quote from a TA (not with AAA) and she is very nice, helpful and has responded to my 2 emails within hours (one within minutes!). So, I think she would be wonderful to work with. And, a friend raves about her. However, I do have to keep myself and my budget in mind!

If there are no codes now for booking in Jan/Feb, who is best to book with? If a code does come out, will I regret having booked with the TA vs AAA vs Disney directly?

I have a Disney Visa. If I book with her, would she be able to apply Disney Visa discounts for me if they come out? Is AAA cheaper with their plans than what I could get with just a regular TA assuming to codes ever come out? Can AAA apply all codes too? Is it ever cheaper to book directly (ie disney visa discount).

Enough questions, you get the idea :sunny:

ETA - when talking about a TA, I mean a TA that focuses on Disney if that matters

I have a TA that I normally use. Her rates were rack rates and she didn't seem very interested in the WDW booking, so I checked with AAA. The AAA rate we received was over $200 less than the TA/rack rate at the time I booked. So I went with AAA. When the Disney Visa codes came out, I gave them a call they checked into it and called me back. The code had sved me an additional $255 off the AAA rate. We booked a package with dining back in March for November.

Many TA's will keep an eye out for discounts and will attempt to apply them to your reservation. You don't have to do that. AAA doesn't do that and neither does Disney. You aren't being charged anything and you would have an agent helping you save money.

A TA can apply any Disney Visa offer to a package, and can also apply any promotional codes that may come out (including PIN offers) but cannot book any AAA rates on PACKAGES.
I do suggest booking with a Disney Specialist Travel Agent and Agency that will watch for any discounts that might come available. That way you know that someone will be watching out for your best interests and lowest possible rates.
