AAA ticket purchase upgrade?

I was told at my local AAA office that they do not sale the "no expiration" option but that we can upgrade when we get to Disney? Has anyone tried this?

Hi,
I did this about 4 weeks ago. Purchased 6 day PHP from AAA for $226. Go to the concierge desk at your hotel if your staying onsite, otherwise you need to go to the ticket booth at the parks. I think I paid an extra $45-50 to upgrade to non-expire ticket.
