Just talked to my TA (a good friend of mine) and he said the code I gave him YDR is a bit different than a NEW code he got just this morning.

I saved over $300 on my package with Dining for January. I am a bit nervouse that he left dining off, but he assured me it was the same package except I got the free PH plus water park deal, like the other code.

He is going to fax me the confirmation from Disney when he gets it and I will update this post with confirmation.

Were you told what the code is? Do you know if it is any different from the YRD? If I call my AAA TA again (for a new code) she will probably shoot me!

agotta posted on another thread that the code seems to be the same thing as the general one.

The quote the TA gave her was without dining.

It looks like the same code, but it is different for AAA :confused3

boy I am out of date.

I didn't think you needed a code for AAA.

I though you just needed to call CRO and tell them you are a member of AAA and they give their best rate for AAA?

so now AAA members needs codes?

AAA TA's are given a code that is usually like whatever general code it out. Probably so they can track how many AAA packages are sold with that particular discount. You don't need it, your AAA has it. You can call Disney and get a AAA discout on room only, but it you want a MYW package with a AAA discount, you need to book through AAA.

I just talked to my AAA agent and the code for the AAA packages is YQW. It is the same code with the PH plus (water parks, pleasure island, disney quest, etc) that came out on the first but is exclusively for AAA packages. With that added to my package our price went down about $80.00. We probably want do the water parks in February but we will use the pleasure island part. Can't wait to get there.

She had called yesterday and they said that the other code could not be applied to the AAA packages. She was persistent and called back today and finally got the new code applied. YAY!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Every penny saved is another one I have to SPEND on something else.

If you call CRO for a AAA ressie it can only be room-only. These discounts are for packages, which must be placed by AAA TAs only. A AAA member cannot call Disney for a package and get a AAA discount.

AAA TAs get codes from disney too, that they can use on their client's packages. So far the AAA one is the same as the general one.

Maybe that code will help you agotta!

That is the code he used. Ughh. He is going to a meeting and then is going to try and fix my package for me.

I'm guessing that these great deals and new AAA codes are only good for the times listed for the new 2006 discounted MYW packages? We want to go in late June or July.

Does anyone know approx. how much $ you save with a AAA package vs. regular? We want to go for 7 days and stay in a mod.

The deal isnt good if you stay for 7 nights. I just priced it out for a client for 6 nights at WL with 10 day premium tix. No dining. The cost is 1797.16. THat is over 100 less than the AAA rate. (standard room)

If you add on the 7th night, the cost is (courtyard view ~ no standards left) 2416.20

Thank you for this information, I just called my AAA TA and she went ahead and applied the code to our package deal and we saved 61.00. Now this might not seem to be a lot of money saved but I am happy with every little bit of savings that we can get.

POR with Dining 8 days/7 nights, 5 day base ticket, 2 adults, 3 children
AAA package price $2536 for PO
YQW price $2595 (upgraded to parkhopper, PI tix)

So adding on this "great deal" cost me $60 more. How come?

Could it be because we arrive on 1/14, which is a "black out date" so that part of our package isn't discounted?

Like many of you, I feel bad about bothering my AAA agent so many times with various codes to try, and I just want to be sure we're getting the best rate possible. Is there any way to know for sure? I don't think I can call and use the AAA code, which is just for TAs?

I saved $222.00 before they applied the new code. I saved around $80.00 with the new code. This code is only good through March.

I posted this in another thread but can anyone tell me why I am only saving $17.72 with the code through AAA? I am not really complaining, every little bit helps but I am jsut curious...

I'm staying at POP 1/4-1/11. I did get the hopper passes added when I originally booked the package.

Any ideas? :confused3

Not sure, but we are staying at POP from 01/05-01/11. I will let you know what my savings are once my TA gets back to me.
